With Hall and Eberle gone Edmonton media has shifted blame to McDavid while defending everything Kris Russell does and it's hilarious
Methot meant that much? Sens are shit right now. Clearly need a safety net for karlsson to do his thing
He was an important player for sure. 65 not nearly 100% after the surgery misses him. Sens haven’t been blown out but one night it’s stupid mistakes the next it’s a poor effort. Every games been close. Just need to hang on a few more weeks.
BJs are pretty darn good It seems like every young guy they bring up is a stud, that 2016 Lake Erie Monsters Calder Cup winning team was loaded
Yeah, they've struck gold in the draft the past few years. Hard to pick who has the most young talent in the league between Columbus, Winnipeg, and Tampa.
This Pierre-Luc Dubois guy is absurd for being 19, cannot believe he was born in 1998 lol. The line with him, Panarin, and Anderson have been wrecking teams lately. #thanksBlackhawks http://www.espn.com/nhl/player/_/id/4024833/pierre-luc-dubois
Expansion could be on the menu at the BOG meetings this week. Talking about the price going up, somewhere in the $600-$700M range. And salary cap expected to go up closer to $80M.
That game by Detroit looked like one of these game in my beer league at 22:45, everybody involve just wants to go home. Refs probably should’ve make it running time after the 7th goal
Would love to see Houston, Portland, Seattle and QC. But if the price tag is $650M that’s American. Makes it $850M Canadian which is steep. More likely a relo.
Made my peace, Quebec is never getting a team. This shitshow is over, we have an arena better than most teams but it doesn’t matter.
Fucking A right I am. Going to hurt hopping ship when they finally have some decent talent coming through the ranks. The lone holdout of my hockey friends is a Wings fan. He's also a 9ers fan though, so fuck him anyeays.
It's not for a new arena, it's for extensive renovations to Key Arena. Edit: I take that back. Looks like they would tear down the Key and build from scratch
He shouldn’t have flopped there but Oduya with the slap shot pass to Smith and going chasing ain’t helping at all.
He makes me not like hockey. The team should have traded him eons ago for a forward and rolled with Chabot
Hopefully new ownership brings the needed change to the organization. The culture in the front office is downright destructive. Cleaning house will be the first order of change. Eugene needs to be put out to pasture.
A Seattle ownership group has been authorized to file an application for an NHL expansion team, NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman said Thursday. The fee would be $650 million, and Commissioner Bettman said the NHL is looking at only Seattle for possible expansion. The Seattle City Council approved a $600 million renovation to KeyArena on Monday. The arena, which opened in 1962, was the home to the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics from 1967-78 and 1985-2008 prior to them relocating to Oklahoma City for the 2008-09 season. Seattle would become the 32nd NHL team. There could be a preliminary ticket drive, Commissioner Bettman said, similar to the one conducted by the Vegas Golden Knights before they were awarded an expansion team that began play this season. The Vegas expansion fee was $500 million.
So I’ve read different reports. Are they knocking down Key Arena and starting over or a complete makeover?
QC will get a relocation team eventually. That 650M expansion fee is completely nuts, in a Canadian town I don’t see how you could survive that.
Hopping up $150m from what vegas paid is asinine. The only saving grace is hopefully getting two teams in Seattle
Hey guys, the wife and I are kicking around the idea of going to Toronto in January, was wondering if any of our resident canadians have any insight onto whether or not this is a good idea.
