Ray was good person. He had his personal demons that held him back. But he was a generous and honest person. Sad news.
Only hextall could chalenge him imo. And emery didn’t fight that much because nobody wanted any part of him
He was also very nice to biron, Marty biron is as nice a dude as you will ever meet. Emery could’ve beat him up easily but he knew it was just cheap at this point, stand up guy

Yesterday my Wife and I took our daughters to the Brantford Zoo, which is just outside of Hamilton, ON and Zac Rinaldo was there. Talked to him for 10 minutes, and offered my condolences on Emery's passing, as the night before he had played in Rinaldo's charity hockey game. Rinaldo is surprisingly small, and very polite. Wished him well this upcoming season in Nashville.
Hockey should have 2 normal jerseys, an alternate and a throwback. Just throwing away money by not doing that.
Old man post coming up, it’s incredible how the nhl has changed in the last 10-15 years. There is no way Clayton Keller would’ve been drafted in the first round in the early 2000’s . But it’s a good thing, smaller guys can thrive and the speed and skill is the focus. I love the nhl now but one thing I would love to get rid of is skaters blocking shots. Obviously not easy but I hate this part of the game.

Sacrificing the body to block shots is one of the best parts of hockey. Yes scoring would increase if it went away but I don’t see any realistic way of banning it. Penalty if you slide to the ice or drop to a knee? Completely unrealistic and unenforceable.
I know, it’s not realistic at all. I don’t think it’s a great part of hockey but it might just be me, I like the sacrifice and understand the team aspect of doing it but I think it takes away from the entertainment.
Pietrangelo and wife lost their baby during pregnacy a couple years ago. They just had triplets this weekend. Gotta feel good for them.
I think thats pretty easily enforceable. If you leave your feet to attempt to block a shot with your body its a penalty. Yes shots bite players still but they wear so much armor now its not like blocking shots 30 years ago.
