Was at the game here a few weeks ago and thought Tampa is a little soft. After tonight I think Boston is the team to beat.
Was one of the weirdest games I have seen. Lots of bad bounces. That said the game was decided when cooper decided to experiment with the lines and gave sergachev the grave responsibility of carrying around the corpse of Brayden coburn. Line gave up both 1st period even strength goals and was responsible for the penalty that led to be PP goal. Once that experiment went away we looked better. McDonough also just starting to get into his groove. A blowout loss to Ottawa at Home is still shocking when you are the top team in the league though
It hasn’t. He tossed the puck from his own blue line all the way to the hurricanes blue line. how does that get missed.
Watching it real-time in the game I think he was skating so fast it threw the refs off because of the angle. He had to throw it in front or it would have hit him or gone behind him. Definitely should have been called
I get pissed when bad callls fuck over my favorite teams. Someone made it a hashtag. Im self aware about my own meltdowns so I lean into it.
Gotcha, I thought it was some type conspiracy theory for calls going against Carolina not making the playoffs. I haven't been following hockey that much since the Canucks are terrible, my only consolation this year was Brock Boeser (he's been shutdown for the year) and now the Tankwatch.
nope. its specific to me. I used it for the Hurricanes because the name fit and that call was brutal.
Welp the Canucks aren't getting Dahlin, here's to getting the 4th overall pick. The Canucks are shutting down guys now and don't see the league rewarding them for doing that.
#Pittsburgh Penguins So my buddy bought one of the charity bags...and he got a signed hunwick puck. :gays:
Ouch. At least the money goes to charity. Am always jealous of the people that get the gold bags and end up with signed Mario & Crosby jerseys
The Rangers are torturing me. This rebuild is going oh so well and I just can't wait to see who we pick at 14.
It will be a very good player, that you will trade next year for a rental when you guys are in 9th place next year just before the deadline
Considering we picked Lias Andersson with the 7th pick in the last draft and his upside appears to be a solid two way third line center whose best attribute is leadership I can't get excited about picking outside the top 10.
Don’t think he is going to be awful, he is putting a descent amount of point in the ahl. But passing on middlestadt is not going to look too good in a few years
Have you seen the Canucks D and Gs? Doesn't matter if they can't score ever again this year because they won't be able to stop the puck. Need a total D overhaul. They are the worst team in the NHL by a mile. I do like they haven't called the kids up from Utica to this shit show. Just rather them stay there to develop and get ready for the AHL playoffs.
Considering we picked him 7th overall saying "he isn't going to be awful" doesn't make me exactly embrace the pick. The problem was that he was an extremely safe pick; sure NHL player but not enough upside to go that high.
Being the worst team in the league is a good thing. Land a top 3 pick this year and next and the future is set. Its such a better outcome than sitting in that 8-12 level not knowing if you will select a future star. From what I have heard the top 3 this year is outstanding so the Canucks should be happy to be this bad. Fact is the chances of landing a superstar is so much higher when you pick in the top 3.
With the Canucks luck they finish last in the league and still fall 3 spots to pick 4th overall. Have you not seen the draft lotto odds? 18% of getting the first overall pick vs. 82% of falling down. Fuck Edmonton!
CF3234 It's going to be harder to trade Klefbom now. https://www.tsn.ca/oilers-d-klefbom-needs-shoulder-surgery-1.1027074
He’s still a likely 2C (not 3) and he does have the possibility of having Patrice Bergeron-type upside. You’re underestimating his potential to try to prove a point. Chytl may actually have more upside though, so I agree there. He was always the riskier pick though.
He's their number #1 D, but has been playing hurt for a while this season. Very good offensively and on the PP, but not that good defensively. He's 24 and signed for the next 5 years at $4.167M/year.
I would appreciate it if you stopped saying Fuck Edmonton as the Oilers are my second favorite team. After all without the Edmonton Oilers giving the Rangers Mark Messier the chants of 1940 are still being heard today.
I am an upside guy all the way especially when it comes to premium draft picks and from what I have read Andersson does not have the upside that the 7th overall pick should have. Would be great if he ends up similar to Patrice Bergeron but I am thinking more likely a better version of Oscar Lindberg.
Glen Sather is more responsible for the Rangers Cup win than Neil Smith was. If only he had stayed in Edmonton and never came to the Rangers maybe he could have handed us a couple more championships.
pretty accurate. He plays at top 4 level with the potential to keep growing. Selling him would be really dumb, but its Chiarelli so...
He is now looking for wingers after trading all his wingers and is using a D on an incredible contract to try and do it
Him and Tallon easily have to done the worst jobs as GMs over the past year and gotten almost zero shit for it. It's incredible.
