So Messi's contract expires at the end of this season? This might be barcelona's biggest misstep to date. There is literally no incentive for him to sign a contract at this point. May as well play out the year, se what the highest bidder offers and if he wants to stay at Barca give them a chance to match. I imagine that without a transfer fee he could command 75-100 million euros a year for 2-3 years?
