On Griezmann: Sky Sports Spanish football expert Guillem Balague says Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has still to decide where he will be playing next season, but the Frenchman does want to play in the Premier League. "There will be a big dispute if a player like that becomes available," Balague said. "In the summer his representatives let it be known that there had been offers from City and United. He said 'no' to all of those as he wanted to stay at Atletico - his future is not linked to Diego Simeone, but we do not know what he is doing next season, which may affect matters. "But what his people are saying is that he has not made a decision about his future, it is something that is still to be decided, but going to the Premier League is something he certainly wants to do in his career and his buyout clause is about £87m."
Craig Hope @CraigHope_DM 23s24 seconds ago And that is that for SAFC. No Ulloa deal & nothing else in the pipeline. Leicester refused to sell to rival & Moyes has now accepted that. Cotton500
I just saw that. Chelsea could sell in the summer but they won't now. We don't have the sufficient cover at LWB or LCB. I really hope they don't sell him at all but roman might prefer a shinier new toy.
Would only make sense to add PEA if we sell Benzema. Not sure if that will happen although PEA is two years younger.
Real needs to focus on their big money players and quit trying to ruin youth. They're about to bench Gareth Bale after they paid 100m+ for him. I'm sure Martin Odegaard's career trajectory with them isn't quite what he envisioned either.
I'd rather him not go to a place where he would compete with Bale, Ronaldo, and who knows what other wingers they will sign in the next 4-5 years. Maybe I'm crazy, but I just think it'd be a stupid move at this point in his career.
For the record I want him to stay at Monaco for the time being. I just don't think him leaving this summer to Madrid/Barca would be bad for his career. He's also not a winger.
I'd just seen him play there. And I think my point still stands even if you view him as a straight up striker. They're not gonna play him week in week out, especially if he hits a rough patch of form like teenagers can do.
I just don't think not playing every game is that bad of a thing. Besides, Madrid and Barca play more games than most clubs so he'd get plenty of playing time overall.
