Keep hoping bro.
It doesn't really bother me one way or another.
Apparently it does.
Same. I don't remember any UA football before the NCAA sanctions. I can still remember what it's like to go to an Alabama football game and have no clue if you would win or lose, regardless of the opponent.
I do remember pre-sanctions, but not that well and it was when I was pretty young and not a die hard. But my goodness I've sat in stadiums and watched Alabama lose some absolutely miserable games.
Enos to Miami
Saw the Tate Martell news and immediately hopped on board.
That’s a good hire for Miami. Especially with the other candidates being discussed. He runs more pro style or at least has until he was with Bama this year right?
Bama's probably going to rehire Gattis because that's what seems to happen to Michigan right now when it comes to that stuff.
I have absolutely no idea that what Saban is doing.
We were told that he was furious with the staff and a massive bloodletting was about the begin, but all the coaches leaving were on the more successful side of the ball, and everyone thought Enos was a shoe-in for OC. No way we tried to keep him, as I don't think Miami could come even close to matching pay.
They've stolen Stoutland, Pannuzio, Cristobal and Kul from us since Saban got there and then decided to start recruiting their WRs from here, took Amari Cooper out of Jacory's HS, then Calvin Ridley, and finally Jerry Jeudy. With the way this relationship has gone they will hire Manny as their DC.
Michigan hired Enos for about a day a year ago. Then he left for basically the same job with Bama. Saban is mean.
Man Saban is super shook
Hopefully they at least give us time to bask in the glow of the Campanile hire
Out of the 10 coaches Bama had last year they currently are replacing
And possibly DC?
As far as the Bo Davis stuff from earlier, that would be very disappointing because the Lions' DL was the only thing that seemed to get better as the season went on. A'Shawn Robinson and Da'Shawn Hand were both really good, especially after they traded for Snacks.
It seems like we should just nullify the ESD signings and start over
Just Alabama’s signings though.
Enos is way better than promoting Coley. :-/
You think it was worth losing Coley to get Enos? I don’t.
I guess I'll default to Kirby but on the surface Miami made a better hire imo
So the brothers Campanile are all beautifully named: Tony, Nunzio, Vito, and Nick
But that wasn’t the question - in a vacuum, I like Enos over Coley. But decisions aren’t made in vacuums and Coley brings a lot to the table for the program. He is a much better recruiter than Enos and will take our foundation and make it more innovative IMO. I don’t think he’s a coach Kirby wanted to lose. It will be interesting to see who we bring in on the offensive side to go with him. Maybe a QB coach?
We are absolutely loaded next year assuming Fromm stays healthy. Especially defensively. I don’t think Kirby wanted to risk a new OC fucking that up.
Yeah you definitely have to weigh the talent acquisition with the implementation. I guess we'll see.
You know, if you take a really zoomed out view of all the opinions itt, you get the sense that tmb feels there are probably only two good coaches in all of football and saban might not be one of them anymore
I think we keep things close to the same but Coley has a history of being more aggressive in terms of no huddle, etc. We don’t need a total overhaul nor do we want one IMO.
I think we have the best defensive two-deep in America for 2019. I wouldn’t trade it with anyone.
Every team sucks but Clemson
And Ohio State, we’re really good.
Saban is going to run out of coaches willing to put up with his process. He grinds people down.
I actually like the role you play here man, but trying to convince anybody that Coley at OC and (based on your earlier comments) Tosh as DC even if just in title is something you would want is... suspect at best. Number one recruiting classes won't matter with that coaching, even with Smart having his hands in more things.
I'm not gonna point and laugh until I see our hires, though.
Only because you fired all your coaches that you hated for sucking despite having a great final record. Now that the terrible problem causing your awful 13-1 team has been fixed you think you don’t suck anymore.
But if you aren’t national champs next year, you’ll suck just like everyone else.
Nah, there will always be up-and-coming coaches who will want the experience of working with one of the best coaches in history.
All our problems have been solved.
I haven’t seen how you plan to correct your potentially lethal Tathan deficiency.
But are there enough?
Would be very happy with Coley and Ansley. VERY.

Interviews for staff vacancies at Alabama are already underway. Understand, this isn't a comprehensive update or hot board; just an update of what we're hearing as the process unfolds.
* BOL has learned that both Allen Mogrdige of Florida International and Ryan Silverfield of Memphis have interviewed for the vacancy created by Brent Key's departure to Georgia Tech.
Mogridge, FIU's assistant head coach and offensive line coach, just completed his second season with the Panthers. Meanwhile, Silverfield recently wrapped up his third season at Memphis, where he currently serves as deputy head coach, co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach.
Mogridge coaching stops have included Georgia Southern (2016), UCF (2012-2015), Temple (2013), his alma mater, North Carolina (2009-2012) and Buffalo (2004-2008). As for Silverfield, it was at his current stop that he worked with Notre Dame offensive coordinator Chip Long, a North Alabama graduate who oversaw the Tigers' attack in 2016.
* We're also hearing that former UA player and grad assistant Lance Taylor is very much in play for the wide receivers job. Taylor most recently served in the same capacity for the Carolina Panthers of the NFL, spending each of the last two seasons with the club.
In terms of college experience, Taylor spent two seasons (2007-2008) as a grad assistant under Saban before coaching wide receivers at Appalachian State (2009) and running backs at Stanford (2014-2016).
Really confused on why Saban is/was ok with letting Enos leave. Miami just got a really good OC/QB coach.
Thamel is a bit behind there, as it already happened this morning
Justin Fields, and if he’s not eligible, I still have eligibility left.
Is Justin going to change his name to Tathan? Because a team without a Tathan can hardly be called a team at all.
I feel like they were deciding between Tim and Nathan and figured mixing them together was the best move
Ryan Day got so zealous firing coaches and processing players, he cut “The” from the name of Ohio State University.
Wow. He might not last until Monday.
I feel like his mom was hopped up on pain killers and slurred her speech when they asked for a name, but they wrote it down anywayon his birth certificate.
He has two kids named Valentina and Serafina, apparently
I’ll be very disappointed if there isn’t an uncle Salvatore in that family
Think we get Ansley? Everyone seems to think we just promote somekne.
