Why is Franklin tied to USC??
Isn't he a PA native??
So why is he being tied to USC. I thought PSU was his dream school
Harbaugh’s daughter is going to ND to play lacrosse. There are actually rumors he’d want to join our staff in some capacity, though I think that’s out the door with Kelly having the success he’s had.
Please take Wells so I don't have to hate football forever.
you dont like him? he seems to have done a nice job at utah state
It gives me Hawk/Mac nightmares.
Dana to Texas tech
Swann says Helton is staying
Leavitt? The irony of ironies
Clay getting another year is going to give Chip another for sure victory over USC. He’s going to get anchored in pretty good around LA as USC watches their program burn to the ground.
Will schools ever figure out these contracts with coaches to the point where they won't owe these insane buyouts? Or is it so far gone at this point where it's never going to change? Seems like at some point some of these schools would learn after having to pay all this dead money to coaches again and again to not keep making the same mistake, but maybe it's just impossible in this landscape to do anything different
This is Trump’s coaching carousel now. Just deal with it.
Helton only had one bad year. I think keeping him is fine
It doesn’t make any sense for the big programs that aren’t stepping stones. USC is probably far better off paying a coach $1mm / year + a $15mm national championship win bonus (and other high performance incentives) than having $5mm / year with buyouts. Maybe that incentive bonus needs to be higher, but all parties involved are better off with super high performance incentives.
the fact that anyone actually wants 67 year old mack brown to be their head coach is blowing my mind
the fact that anyone actually wants 67 year old nick saban to be their head coach is blowing my mind
Congrats to Taques on Tech's imminent hire of Dennis Franchione
State College, Pa or Los Anglese? hmmm
uh.... it’s almost like there’s a huge difference there
wow nothing gets past you huh
That's a bad take
i mean you seriously want mack, so pardon me for not catching that sarcasm? i guess?
Folks, we in here. #West Virginia Mountaineers
Dana to tech
Why would Tech fire Kingsbury only to hire a significantly less sexy version of him?
Basically a done deal at this point.
Dana with Jim Leavett as DC
Saban to wvu. He’s ready to come home and retire.
Don’t think you guys got over $2M to hire a d coordinator
Ever heard of the Permian Basin?
You’re paying you’re d coordinator $600k a year now. You’re not going to quadruple that.
It's booming right now
Congrats on your $50/barrel
i could pay it very easily by myself with my mainboard administrator salary
There’s a lot of money to be made at that price.
Depends. $21-$48 is the most recent break even prices for 26 wells in the basin.
Wow. You really hate to see a so-called “insider” stealing things like this without attribution. I reported this yesterday in the Kliff thread. And now, here you are trying to pass this off as your own. SMH.
When you said it you were spitballing. When I said it I had legitimate reasons to believe it
Ha that's awesome. Zero tolerance for incompetence. That program has launched so many guys to better opportunities
The more I think about it the more I think Dana is going to tech. He’s gonna have to do a rebuild here with our best players moving on, our OC presumably leaving, and our DC needing to be fired. Might as well do it at tech where they’ll let him have more time than he would get at wvu now that he will be in year 9. Similar money and resources and he already has ties to the school. Plus their fans love him
Do we know Dana’s feelings on tortillas?
You don't want Dana anyways, having coached some players that WVU has recruited he is not the best first impression maker on visits.
