Pretty bold for a Hoo to post this the day after Kyle Guy was caught soliciting extra benefits
You should see the toaster I got them.
Is UCLA going to pay Dixon’s buyout or are they gonna hire Cronin
Not worried one bit. We never even met with him. Our AD doesn’t have anything leak either.
#Virginia Tech Hokies
Lmao. Believe I called this weeks ago but too lazy to find the post
Love how we are going to announce this right before the Hoos play. *according to reports.
That'll show them
Well that’s not happening. Who’s next on the list?
Hoos by 20
Let’s go Hoos!
Auburn by 14 and will make 17 3s tonight..
I do believe webbi is a superstitious person
Wait #Virginia Tech Hokies just got turned down by a guy at seton hall that’s never made it past round 2?
Who knows these things?
Did we interview & if so did we offer him the job. Was he ever interested or just putting his name out there to get a raise
#UCLA Bruins if it’s true you were offering Cal $8mil, just take that money and get Beard
Pay the buyout and throw 8 at Beard. Yeah that make too much sense if you had a competent AD which we don’t.
His buyout can’t be that high
It shouldn’t matter what it is but hey fuck Dan Guerrero
heavy is the head that wears the crown
Rose and Webber have a beef? Who knew?
This is shocking. The experts seem to talk about the acc and big 10 most of the time.
If anyone is talking about the big 10 in that way they need to stop. It has decent depth in some years, but the teams at the top can't compete. Can't go 20 years without a title and be taken seriously in that conversation.
It’s probably just that most Cbb coverage are grads of those schools so they tend to focus energy there.
The Big 12 (and Big 10) do well by this metric because there aren’t bad teams in those conferences, whereas in the ACC there have tended to be one or two teams that are low major-level absolute butt. The middle of the conferences tend to be about the same; I think the median Big 12 team is better than the median ACC team this year but that’s often close. The ACC - this year and most - tends to have the most championship-caliber teams, and that shows in Final Fours and Nationals Championships over the last decade.
wouldn’t love that hire to follow buzz as a VT fan, like half of his seasons there are 0.500 or below and they have upset like 2 big name teams in 17 years
#Minnesota Golden Gophers
I agree with that.
Down year for basketball if a west coast player wins DPOY playing in a zone
participation trophy for the clowns out there on the worst coast
What’s worse, west coast basketball or the 2-3 zone?
Wofford alum and season ticket holder here. In 2008-2009 Mike had a handful of recruits turn out to be better than expected that elevated the program and led to our first NCAA appearance in 2010. From that point on, with more name recognition, he was able to recruit a better class of player and the results have been strong. 5 appearances in the last 10 years from a very strong 1 bid conference
Two years ago a new arena opened up that is undoubtedly a top 5 mid major facility and is just off the charts. Recruiting picked up further and though this year was our best ever team, we return a team next year that will have great depth and compete in a historically loaded SoCon. It’s really sad he’s leaving because we are on the cusp of making a leap as a program and he’s the main driver of that.
He’s going to coach a great offense and they will play strong team defense. They will play with an identity. As a fan of his personally, I struggle with will he be able to recruit ACC caliber players and will he be given enough time to get the full machine working. He has a job for life at Wofford and his wife is the PWC partner in Spartanburg so while millions of dollars are millions of dollars, I do not think money is even in the top 3 of factors for him. Bigger factors are he’s from Virginia and our incompetent AD has somehow found himself butting heads with the best football coach and basketball coach in school history in the last 3 years resulting in both leaving.
I wish him the best and will cheer for his teams more or less as my own. I love the guy and I think he’s got a better chance of success than most give him credit for.
F- hire. Can't recruit at all, will fail miserably in such a difficult conference without star talent.
Let’s hope the men’s acc/big12 national title is closer and better(unless we are dominating of course) than the women’s!
He’s gonna suck at tech
There have been about three different “done deal” guys for that job so I’ll believe it at the press conference
Maybe he will, maybe he won’t. Give us a call when you are trying to get rid of him in a couple years and we will gladly take him back.
i am a homer but it’s baffling that no one is hopping on the wes miller train
maybe they tried and he’s just told them he’s waiting on wake when they finally fire danny
Do you think he will be able to adjust & recruit at a decently high level?
i don’t think it’s an awful hire but i highly doubt it
