Believe it. We'll be lucky if our punter averages 37 yds
You can't run??
We have the worst punter in the country, so I’m hoping you don’t play defense so he can stay on the bench.
He hits the long snapper in the back on 1 punt then has the longest punt in acccg history. Talk about a roller coaster
We have the worst punter in the country. He must have naked pics of Dabo with a sorority girl.
Someone on our homeboard described his punts like he’s kicking a 5 gallon bucket of water. It’s attrocious
Was basing that on the s&p+ preview that was posted just before that. We're very all or nothing, but I don't expect to be able to run the ball consistently against you guys
Our RB is very good.
But our OL is pretty inconsistent in getting him room to work with.
So I guess a 33-23 type game.
What do you guys do well/poorly on ST? How’s your kicker?
Really proud to be in the only conference with two affiliated teams in the CFP. Very tough to navigate that meat grinder.
So many possibilities of what could happen when we punt but few of them are good for us.
True but it's hard to game plan away from Dexter. And even though Notre Dame has no all conference linemen, they're still talented.
Kicker is good. Punter is inconsistent. Everything else is bad. Think we’ve given up 3 touchdowns on special teams this year.
Kicker is actually quite accurate, though 50 yards is his ceiling.
Punter is boom or bust.
Coverage teams stink.
We’ve given up 2 KR TDs and a punt block deep in our own zone (which led to a TD). The narrative on our Michigan, Pitt, and Northwestern games would have been quite a bit different without those.
Kicker is very good, four year starter
Punter is widely inconsistent but has generally punted well when they needed it
Tackling on kick off is the issue, and Nd had a punt blocked for a td by VaTech
Our punt returns have been a little bit of an adventure this season with a couple muffs, including a huge one against Cuse that almost cost us the game. But when #3 Rogers gets a chance to return them he’s had some good ones. Had a big TD v BC.
Our kick returner, #10 Kendrick has made a couple solid returns in limited opportunities. Feels like he’s on the verge of a big play.
Notre Dame is trash. Clemson by 21 - 28
3 of the most important players on ND are:
A 5’10 165lb negative star walk-on receiver from Dayton
A Hawaiian transfer from Navy walk on SS
The 3 star starting QB from Sacramento who had no Power 5 offers
And ND made the playoffs, cfb is awesome
Tough to determine the 3 most important for Clemson, but some combination of Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne, Dexter Lawrence and Christian Wilkins.
Dino Babers about to be interviewed on the Selection Show
Sounds super simplistic but this matchup comes down to the OLines.
If ND's can give Book time they have enough at the skill positions to keep this tight. Unfortunately Clemson seems to have like 17 All Americans in their front 7 so that's going to be a tough task.
On the flip side ND will need to continue to get pressure with just four and keep Etinne from ripping off huge runs.
Can't wait for him to get a big time job. That was a great interview just now
Really likable guy. Given his west coast ties and their lack of funds at the moment, USC should have fired Helton and picked him up.
Just announced as the 4 pm game
We’re the 4pm game
Will be a reasonable time in Europe for us to watch
Kind of feel like this too. The whole time ND was pushing our shit in all I could think was "this is the least impressive #3 team Ive ever seen".
This is what Nd does, gently raping teams. We will see if Clemson is open for business
That’s reasonable, I would’ve expected a 125-0 prediction
Nah fuck y'all but based off the match ups I decided to pick a fair prediction.
clemson by 24
Renfrow is a huge issue for Nd, big matchup to keep an eye on
Renfrow is a huge issue for everyone
How drunk are you?
That was a joke by the way, not very drunk. I am just worried about how Nd defends the slot. Might have to move love inside again but that leaves a freshman outside.
Freshman outside covering Ross or Higgins
Will that kid ever graduate?
This is his last year, but Runter Henfrow just came aboard as a preferred walked on and will be on the team next year.
Wonder who Tim is rooting for in this one...
