only silver lining of that is it puts lots of pressure on ownership to spend in the offseason. They went cheap this past offseason to stay under the luxury tax and the bullpen suffered as a result. Not to mention with LeBron here they aren't the unquestioned #1 sports attraction anymore like they had been with the Lakers sucking for 5 years
A fair point, but I'm not sure they ever worry about how they stack up against other local sports teams. They always sell tickets. Besides, I'm not sure that there is a big crossover between Laker fans and Dodger fans when it comes to folks looking to part with their money.
3 against SD. 2 against TX. Then we get the Dbacks. Pretty much, have to win 4 of 5 then win the series against the Dbacks. If that happens, I will believe this team can make a push down the stretch. Dodgers have been extremely streaky over the last 3-4 years, but they just seem stuck in the mud until next year. Hoping for an offensive hot streak but I think it requires some changes ASAP. Farmer needs to be called up, Barnes sent down. Toles and Verdugo need to get called up soon. Puig should hit leadoff or fifth. Tired of him batting 8th. Taylor needs to be benched. Hate to say it, but he just isn't anywhere near his play last year. Less Muncy. Put Bellinger at first and play the younger guys in the OF
win tonight and either be 1 back or tied for first heading into a 4 game home series with the D-Backs also Turner is on fire and he is the straw that stirs the drink. If he stays hot through September, we are in good shape. Plus we get Urias, Farmer, Toles, Verdugo up this month
Kershaw moved to Saturday so he can get an extra day's rest and start the Colorado series next week on a full 5 days rest. Let's ride
Roberts needs to earn this shit coming down the stretch. No more Taylor, no more Barnes. Get Kemp out of the clean up spot.
Watching sports, more often than not I feel sad and question why I watch them and then nights like tonight remind me why I do #blessed
Would've been stoked to take this series 3-1 but losing tomorrow is going to feel like a setback after the way we have dominated the last few games.
today is huge. Need Ryu to step up and the offense to come through. If we win tonight we will be sitting pretty with Kershaw/Buehler back to back. Which will set up nicely for them to pitch next week's series vs. the D-Backs
