Sunday night's game was the most uncomfortable feeling I've ever had watching a sporting event. When Maeda gave up the homer to make it 7-7, I felt in my heart we were going to lose that game. Even after we took the lead back, I was resigned to the idea that we would be unable to stop them. I was legit sick to my stomach. I don't know how tonight is going to go but I do think this club will compete and hopefully we'll extend the series. The worst part of it all is that we're pretty much two pitches away from having won this thing (Kenley's hanger to Marwin in game 2, Clayton's pitch to Gurriel in game 5 that tied it up).
ya, I think Kenley with an 0-2 count is worse than game 5 where we all figured last at-bat would win the game. Roberts said everyone is available tonight besides Darvish and Kershaw. Hoping Kershaw gets a shot at redemption with game 7. And I know that we all are underestimating the power of being at home. Home teams are dominating this playoffs and the crowd is going be insane, especially if they get into early. Also happy to eliminate the DH for the Astros. Turner and/or Seager have to start knocking in runs.
timely hitting and the bullpen. How we have done it all year. Cannot wait for tomorrow. Also excited for it to be over so I can chill the fuck out
good thing about tomorrow is that if Darvish doesn't have his stuff, we can go right to Wood. And if Darvish does have his stuff, he could be lights out.
kinda get the feeling that if Dodgers need 6 clean outs to get through the middle of the game, they turn to Jansen. And turn to Kershaw later for the close.
Darvish and big bats let us down tonight. Not much to say. An amazing season but hurts to come up short like this. Taylor, Joc, Hernandez and Forsythe brought it every opportunity this series. 2-5 did not.
Free Agents as of tomorrow: Darvish, Utley, Morrow, Watson, Granderson, Gutierrez. I think Ethier has a team option so you can add him to that list. Forsythe I think also has a team option so that's one to watch.
Ethier is gone, no way LA picks up that option. End of an era. Don't know how to track possible regression but I like Morrow and Watson. Rest can go. Core is solid but sucks we didn't pounce when all the stars aligned this season
I think the issue with Morrow is less about regression and more about him getting a better offer elsewhere. This FO is more apt to find the next Morrow than commit multiple years to a reliever, but who knows. I hope Utley sticks around in the organization, I'd have to imagine this was his last year as a player.
I do not like Yu Darvish. Not being able to drive in a run with tons of guys on base felt like the Dodgers I know. Great team, came up short. Hope the Dodgers hire a bunch of sports psychologists in the offseason and lock Kershaw in a room with them. Does not feel like the team will change too much overall looking at the free agents.
goddamn this headline http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ries-loss-maybe-one-of-these-days-i-wont-fail Clayton Kershaw After World Series Loss: 'Maybe One of These Days I Won't Fail'
AGon has 1 more year at $22M, will be interesting to see if he guts out that final year or if his back is so fucked he retires. Grandal has 1 more year of arbitration before he hits free agency. Wouldn't be surprised to see him moved this offseason at all with Barnes under team control for 2 more years. By my calculations they should have something like $75M coming off the books after 2018 in time for the Harper/Machado/etc frenzy
Feel like we need another solid starter but same could be said about last year. Also, front office lies all the time before making a move. Fully support getting arms for the pen. Guess maeda is a starter again
The Los Angeles Dodgers today acquired outfielder Matt Kemp from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for first baseman Adrián González, pitchers Scott Kazmir and Brandon McCarthy, infielder Charlie Culberson and cash considerations.

From LA Times My understanding is that Yu Darvish has made clear he would like to return to the Dodgers, and part of the delay in his free agency is related to waiting to see if the team can move some of the money. The Dodgers have explored scenarios for moving useful but (theoretically) extraneous assets such as Yasmani Grandal, Logan Forsythe and Hyun-Jin Ryu. Given the fact that those players are still Dodgers and Darvish is still a free agent, you can guess how the market has reacted to this gambit by the front office.

hopefully just a taste of what is to come this year. He hits this thing like he teed it up and pulled out a 3-Wood.
