http://247sports.com/Player/Samson-Evans-92792 Just committed to Iowa. I should get some solid point that will help me get closer to Wiltfong.
A lot of times his sources are the guys on the 247 sites. They have calls or go-to meetings every week to update him.
Jake Rowe wrote an article on Sunday about Georgia "gaining steam for a trio of major targets." Basically meaning they have had crystal ball picks submitted in Georgia's favor recently. One was IMG OT Daniel Faalele and another was Caleb Tannor. The only submissions for these guys came from me.
Not really following him a lot but I'd say A&M is the most likely landing spot as of today. When A&M crumbles this season and Clemson still wants him, he probably ends up there.
Tom Loy breaks down every play in George Takacs spring game HUDL highlight Spoiler Naples (Fla.) Gulf Coast four-star tight end George Takacs is one of the more complete tight ends in the country. (Photo: 247Sports) At 6-6, 230 pounds, the class of 2018 recruit has great size, but he also runs well and is extremely powerful in the blocking game. This offseason, Takacs posted a 101.49 SPARQ score at The Opening regional in Miami this February, which earned him an invite to The Opening Finals in Beaverton, Ore., later this summer. All of that was on display during his annual spring game against Sarasota high school. Below is a quick breakdown of the six plays on his spring highlight tape. You'll see his ability to make people miss in the open field. You'll see his quickness and speed. You'll even see how dominant he can be as a blocker. Play 1) Takacs catches a quick pass, breaks a tackle with a good stiff arm, and picks up a few extra yards. Play 2) Takacs runs a quick six-yard route, makes the catch, makes another defender miss, and then picks up another six or so yards downfield. Play 3) Takacs goes in motion, takes the short pass, gets hit by the defender, which knocks him back, but he keeps his balance, and then muscles his way six more yards downfield for the first down. Play 4) Takacs comes in motion again. This is the play where his stride, speed and length comes into play. He takes the short pass, which should typically gain just a few yards, and he finds a good angle and races 10 yards for the first down. Play 5) Takacs takes another short, three-yard pass and quickly gets upfield to pick up another first down seven yards later. Play 6) Takacs shows off his blocking ability here. Using his power, he creates a huge hole early, which is later filled by the offensive linemen who are pulling to the right, allowing for a big gain from the running back. Per the 247Sports Crystal Ball, Notre Dame is the perceived favorite. Eight of nine picks are in favor of the Fighting Irish. Takacs' offer list includes Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Wisconsin, Auburn, Oregon and many others.
I don't think our staff really knew what was happening when he committed. He had maybe visited for a game. Our site guys were all, "Who the hell is Happy Gilmore?" Rusty says we stopped by his school in April, but it wasn't Schumann. I'm guessing it was actually to see Mikel Jones.
Imo the kid is a good HS player but he is a short fat LB who probably is too big to play LB now If they took him thinking he'd help them with other local kids it seems like that didn't end up being the case either, but I'd understand that aspect
We took Brini in '17. So I think this kid just wanted to follow him. I was cool with it if it helped us with Mikel Jones.
As a fan of one of the two lowest Power 5 teams on that list, I'm personally offended by laughing at our partners in recruiting 'strategy' UGA and Rutgers(not to mention Purdue)
This kid is using other kids highlights, unofficial visit pics and edits from other players as his own
First thing I thought of was the story from 2009 about an OL from Nevada named Kevin Hart who told his friends, coaches, family that he was amassing all these offers, made it all the way to Signing Day, and then had to tell everyone the truth when he sent the fake LOI to Cal and they called the HC and said they'd never heard of him. http://www.espn.com/espn/eticket/story?page=kevinhart
Laugh now clowns, we will limp into a top 10 class this year and then we going #1 class in 2019. After UGA wins the East this year, the negative recruiting will be thwarted and we will be in cruise control.
