All the best OCs are probably jumping at the opening
I'm sure a long list of candidates can't wait to be fired in a year.
cant wait for Interim Head Coach
I was told he would seamlessly implement his Passing System with Malzahn's Running System. Guess thats not how football works after all.
You guys excited about bowl season?
Does anyone really give a shit about bowls that aren't playoff games?
This all doesn't matter.
Gus will be announced as Paul Johnsons replacement on Monday.
There is a reason Auburn ghosted our Bowl Teleconference
Just Auburn fans
Probably the 100 or so teams that will never be in a playoff game.
Call me crazy but I think it's a little early for UGA fans to start acting as if they're Bama and they're above non-CFP bowls. It's obnoxious when Bama fans do it, but at least they have more than a single conference ring to get to that level of entitlement
I mean you're not wrong but they do have a point that the playoffs have taken some shine off of the bowls. Which is valid.
But football is football, so I'm excited for more of it and some good games around NYE/NYD.
I'm sorry. I did not mean to hurt feelings with that post.
Outback bowl victories are all I’ve got okay.
u mad. Such a timeless response
Who said "u mad?"
Auburn is going to end up poaching Bobby Bentley.
Above them? No. But it’s not like we are Auburn fans who are just happy to be here.
I remember when we needed to demand more
I do since a New Year's Day bowl is rarified air for Kentucky
Liberty University pinching their nose and ignoring the actions of Hugh Freeze and just going off his words pretty damn fitting w those evangelicals.
Sorry. Maybe I shouldn't have protected my own feelings across other fanbases.
Pinching their noses?
When have the Falwells ever had any problems with hypocrisy and being all around terrible human beings? They revel in it.
He wasn’t actually supposed to answer the question.
It’s more about trying to get them to grasp that they are basically 2017 auburn without any marquee victories.
Falwell Jr. has taken it to a whole different level. He just doesn't have the mind numbingly stupid quotes and sound bytes that went viral like his dad did.
Oh man. You got me
As the gap widens between Georgia and Auburn, you can see the awful theory that has helped the team board cope.
Philip Marshall would be proud.
We've go an inside source into a LA Rams offensive mind.
lol fuck no I don't
Because my team never goes to one
Tell me what separates the 2018 georgia regular season and the 2017 auburn season besides the two victories over playoff teams.
It's mathematically impossible for us to have 4 losses
Yes it’s my biggest issue with the playoffs. That, and in general it makes seasons seem like a failure if you don’t make the playoff.
Part of that is the saban effect too I think
Yeah they have Baylor's old AD. That school is run by scum
It's amazing how much Gus has turned into Houston Nutt.
Nutt told him the same thing after the 06 season at Arkansas ("Gus' passing game with David Lee's running game" despite Gus preaching all year long that he was a run-first OC) and Gus wisely left to go make a name for himself.
The playoffs haven’t taken as much shine off the bowls as the B1G/PACs insistence on protecting the sanctity of the Rose Bowl has. That game is more important to their commissioners than the CFP, and because of that, it fucks up the rest of the NY6. We should be getting UGA/OSU, which would be infinitely better than the current Rose and Sugar matchups.
For some, any season without a natty is a failure
FWIW, nobody on our side is excited about the Music City Bowl this year, just like we weren't excited about the Peach Bowl last year.
I mean, I’ve never claimed to be Bama or anywhere close because that would be retarded, but I expect to be in the CFP from now on. Sorry if demanding more is no longer cool.
I’m excited for the sugar bowl
I’m happy to see us play again but it’s essentially meaningless.
Do you feel it's more meaningless in the playoff era than the BCS era?
I'm sure I will once the game rolls around just to see us play again
That's just for me personally. Idk if that is true broadly
Why? Unless it was designated for the championship game - it didnt mean anything.
Maybe I'm less invested in football as I get older. Idk
I think so, mainly because of how watered down the NY6 matchups have become.
