Seeing reports that PSG is after Pavard. If he ends up there, look for Julian Draxler to end up at Bayern. Not sure how I feel about that.
What does a defender have to do with a forward? Pavard was PSG bound the second he hit that goal imo. They are going to try and get their French nationals like him and Kante.
Disregard my previous. Kicker just reported that Stuttgart and Bayern closed the deal for Pavard. He’ll move to Bayern in 2019.
I can't tell if transfer "reporters" are using "hot days" ironically or not and it's making me laugh way more than it should.
It's not. If the selling or buying club haven't confirmed it let's not post it's official. According to earlier in this thread Fernando Torres signed in Chicago.
One outlet in Germany had it as official. I’m thinking now that they were just trying to scoop the big news guys. The others say the deal is done, but that’s it.
Why would they? He would’ve left on a free next summer and even in today’s insane market, GKs are pretty cheap.
I was thinking the same thing. Although its almost a world record for a keeper, in a market where Danny Drinkwater costs 40 million pounds, one of the 6-8 best keepers in the world should be double that.
Allison's gonna go for like 65 or 70 million, Ederson was 40 million last year. We'll probably spend almost all of the Courtois money on a new keeper (who's a clear downgrade) due to our shitty negotiating.
Who will be after Navas? Can’t imagine he wants to sit, there would be plenty of clubs lining up I’d think
Reports out of Italy saying Lazio wants Arjen Robben to channel his inner Miroslav Klose and prolong his career there. Allegedly Robben has agreed to forego his one year, €7 million extension to sign for €4.5 million a year for, wait for it......three years. Bayern is asking €13 million. Sounds ridiculous
Why is it ridiculous? The league is more tactical he should be able to contribute for the duration of the deal. Pippo was scoring goals at like 50 in the league lol
A large majority of the teams in Italy have gone to this model to turn profits. Essentually becoming feeder systems to other leagues and the top teams in Italy. The league has a an awful TV deal (hopefully they correct that soon since it’s up for bid) and the bulk of the stadiums are 25+ years old and lack amenities. People rather stay home and watch in HD vs sitting on concrete bleachers from terrible views. Politics in the country are preventing new stadiums to be built because the towns/cities don’t want to allow the sale of land and or try and get a lease agreement to collect a profit. Very few teams have new stadiums and the ones that do like Juventus have flourished because of it.
Only because of stamina. He’s still as good as he ever was for the first half. He’s still as dangerous with his left foot as anyone in the world. He disappears in second halves. Three years seems a bit ambitious unless they just plan on him playing for a half. Plus I’m looking forward to backers chasing Kingsley and Gnabry aaround for an hour and then putting Robben and Ribery in. They’re old both annoying as fuck. If they didn’t play for Bayern, I’d fucking hate both of them.
They take breaks throughout the game for cigarettes, espresso, and the occasional thrown road flare whenever the home teams ultras unfurl their newest extremist banner.
