And lmao at that New Balance shirt
What an asshole
It seems like the Lakers get routed by every good team they play
Shabazz Napier is perhaps the most random player to get a triple double in NBA history
god i hate listening to brett brown speak
Jorge Sedano said in a radio interview he heard the Pistons offered the Lakers Rose for Caruso, "salary filler" and a 2nd round pick (which would have to be in 2023 as far as I can tell), and that the Lakers turned that down.
That makes no sense to me on any level for either side.
You don’t just trade top all star vote getters like Caruso for potato chips
They are significantly over .500 against teams with winning records. Iirc they have the best record in the western conference against teams with winning records.
They lost 9 coming into tonight, so they’ve definitely beaten a lot of teams over .500
I guess point differential would be more telling
Wilt and Moses Malone.
Didn’t realize Moses had passed until I looked it up.
I didn't either.
I feel like Moses died pretty recently right? I think I remember it happening
Simmons is scoring 7 ppg more with Embiid out. If Embiid is willing to take possessions 23 ft away, then it’s ego that preventing Simmons from shooting 2-3 wide open looks a game. The effort is undeniable, and I’m pretty sure diving for loose balls requires more effort than catch and shoot.
I remember a time this summer when Simmons signed that extension and there were a few people in here suggesting that was stupid because Simmons wasn't a max player. He's a top 12-15 player in the league right now, and I think he'd be easily top 10 if he played a full season without Embiid.
He's putting up these numbers and is at least in the conversation for DPOY.
Him and thybulle are fun as hell to watch. Van Gundy is saying “remove the but” wrt Simmons not shooting. However, Ben shooting changes nothing about everything great he’s doing this season.
He can get to the basket at will if he went hard to the rim and drew contact that would just as effective as him taking uncontested jumpers. Also the second he starts actually going at people shit would open up against the good teams because they would not automatically collapse on him like they do now.
Wikipedia is telling me he died in 1271 BCE so I doubt you remember it happening.
Almost unstoppable when he commits to going through contact. Him being tentative because he’s seemingly afraid of going to the line is a separate topic.
Por que no los dos?
It’s really the same thing. Don’t get me wrong I see your point and agree. Just saying if he’s uncomfortable shooting from distance it’s in his wheel house to get to the rim and draw contact. You can see how he impacts games now, imagine the issues he could create against defenses if he didn’t play so soft.
True, and he’ll be a legit top 10 player during his career at this rate. If he can get his FT to 70%, that’s huge.
I don't think it matters if he shoots 70% from the FT line. He just needs to stop caring that he shoots 60% and stop letting that deter him from being as aggressive as he can be.
For this season, but it’s a circular problem long term. 3 years from now he might look like a very different player.
Because I want to see the Ringer World burn
I want to see a trade that centers around Gordon Hayward and Marcus Smart for Joel.
id skip work to consume all the content
Jason Tatum or Matisse Thybulle?
Sure, it's not ideal if he's shooting 60% on FTs, but it's a much bigger problem that he allows that to affect how he plays. Giannis is a 60% FT shooter and will run away with the MVP again because he doesn't let it change how he plays (10.2 FTA per game) and he's always attacking. Obviously, he's got more going for him than anyone else to go with that, but the point remains.
Fuck I hope this kobe news isnt true
This just became truly fucking creepy if that’s true.
wow that's horrific
That MVP death stat didn't age well did it.
that poor guy that tweeted about mvp deaths got wrecked
Cancel the fn games
Dudes are crying on the bench. No one should be playing.
Adam Silver can piss off.,
Have the spurs/raptors on league pass and didn’t change the channel during halftime. Really weird to have a bunch of 10-12 year olds (boys and girls) dancing to rap songs, that while censored, are really explicit and everyone knows the words.
“Lil mama show me how you move it. Shake that shake that put your back into it” (while zooming in on young girls).
Some impressive defense in ATL tonight
Wizards are playing less defense than what you see in the All-Star game
Lillard with 17, 3, and 5 at the end of the first quarter. He's been unbelievable recently.
50 on 23 shots for Lillard and Sabonis dropped a triple double. He’s become a really nice player after getting away from Westbrook
Very weird how players improve after their rookie season, idiot
kyrie is fun as hell to watch and seems like a genuinely good guy, it's just too bad that something dumb as fuck comes out seemingly every time he opens his mouth.
Granted he has always fallen into the category of "great player on team I don't like" but he seems bi-polar. Sometimes he's a good guy/teammate then a week later he's playing no defense and talking down about his teammates, ranting about some freshman year tier philosophy or playing the victim card.
ESPN airing Kobe's last game tonight.
That last quarter and a half was so much fun.
Being reminded that the Lakers were starting Roy Hibbert just a couple years ago has to bring back some nightmares ZeroPointZero
Halfway through the first quarter and they just showed the Bryant family.
If you had to guess, how many members of the Lakers 2016 team are still on active rosters?
One or zero.
