SP1 come play the hits brother
stockton gets a ton of respect in those discussions unless you're talking to idiots.
but like, you're not calling him the best or second best right?
John Stockton is the ultimate "system" star. Half the player Steve Nash was and Nash stole two MVPs.
Stockton sucks a big dick. Owes his entire career to Malone and Sloan.
Eat shit, John Stockton.
He’s easily in my top five. Where he is in there I’m not sure. I’m biased though because I loved that Jazz squad with him, Malone, and Hornacek.
Eat a bag of dicks. Or just that BBC meme running around would probably be the same amount of sick.
liked for nash stealing two mvps.
Magic, Oscar, Jerry West, Steph are clear cut ahead of Stockton, Stockton goes #5 at best in a "top 5" list depending on how ppl rank him with Nash, CP3, Jason Kidd etc.
I know scoring wasn't exactly what his job was but its like people forget Stockton averaged less than 14 points a game for his career or something.
It's a shame that simpletons like you forget how good Mark Eaton was.
Game 6 of 2013 Finals on NBATV
Amazing how much better Lebron is now compared to then
I liked John Stockton but Utah shouldn't be the jazz
West was more of a shooting guard for most of his career
He averaged 15.6 and 12.8 during his peak, never averaging fewer than 15.7 assists per 100 possessions in his peak. He’s got five of the six best single season assist averages, 8 of the top 20.
Buddy of mine works for NBC and told me the likely thing is Olympics next year and then three years after that.
ESPN2 showing old McDonald's AA games
2007 on right now with 2003 after. If they want me to tune into ESPN networks for non-live sports programming, this is the kind of stuff they should be showing
had forgotten all about Nick Calathes. Love looks pretty hilarious compared to how he looks today. Pro athletes, man. John Wooden interviewed and talking about how he is glad he's going to UCLA
damn just looked up Stockton's numbers and dude averaged 1.5 3-pt FG attempts per game for his entire career and shot like 38% on them
in hindsight he might not have been a very skilled basketball player and IMO might have been lucky to play in a really good system alongside Malone
38% from three is pretty good, especially for the era (I think I have no idea what 90s 3pt %s we’re actually like on average)
38.36% is good, it ranks 109th all-time, it’s a higher percentage than Durant, Kawhi, Beal, Dirk, Michael Redd, Paul George, Bird, Lillard, Vince Carter, Chris Paul, Manu, Pierce, Hayward, Lowry, and Harden.
There wasn’t much three point shooting overall in the 90s. The team leaders in three point attempts from the 90-99 seasons
90 - 10.4 attempts
91 - 12.9
92 - 12.4
93 - 13.4
94 - 15.7 - though the Rockets were an outlier, 2nd was 13.9
95 - 21.4 - the NBA shortened the arc to only 22 feet starting this season and for the next two so attempts exploded before they lengthened it again after the 97 season
96 - 24.9 - second was 21.5
97 - 22.7
98 - 20.4
99 - 18.9
The Sixers shot the fewest threes in the NBA this year at 28.9 a game.
38% is good, in a era that welcomed 3 point shots he probably would have taken more and been over 40% which is excellent.
I laid in bed for 30 mins this morning watching prime Derrick Rose highlights before I had the will to get up
I miss this game a lot right now
The NBA is streaming on Twitch and Houston - Portland game 6 from 2014 is on right now.
4th quarter is just starting... probably 15 minutes until Dame Time.
These teams are funky. Houston has Chandler Parsons, Dwight Howard, Omar Asik, and a Harden that doesn't isolate. Portland has a useful Nic Batum, a pre-achilles Wes Matthews, Mo Williams, Robin Lopez, Lillard/Aldridge, and two strange minutes of Thomas Robinson where he played really well in the 4th quarter and it fueled everyone's hope for the following year.
I think this was before Howard's injury in Houston because he's dominating in the 4th quarter. And I'm not someone who hates the current NBA, glorifies the 90s players, and thinks everyone now is soft. But the aesthetic of the games is definitely better in this game with a mix of PnR, motion, and post ups. I hadn't watched an old game in a while and I miss this mixed style. And there were 40+ 3s shot in this game combined so it's not like players didn't shoot them.
Peak Portland era Batum was so good for a complimentary player.
So who is Jamal Murray's new friend?
Harper Hempel, played volleyball at UK
Damn saw the video. She’s got some skills
aint that the truth
A search on twitter and you’ll find it in less than a minute.
Would probably apologize to my girlfriend first tbh
money talks my man. He will just buy her something really nice and all will be fine
Especially since she’s the only one likely to actually be mad about the whole thing.
well...her and KD.
This is not true
yeah I’m scrolling and seeing all these reactions but not the actual video
Took me a while, but I eventually found it. Not as easy as the poster states.
Search Jamal Murray on reddit and you’ll find it
