#North Carolina Tarheels
Are we expecting him to be good under Mullen?
I would hope he continues to drop bags as he has for most of the decade
Never really heard of him tbh other than maybe when he was at FSU.
where else has he recruited well?
I still have nightmares from him at FSU
Texas under Mack
So you think he’s an elite bag dropper bc he got Dalvin to FSU?
20 years ago? Eh
Dropped plenty more bags than dalvin while at FSU
But that one hurt the most
i guess I don’t see what you do in this coach
If you’re looking for a completely unsubstantiated spin zone on this hire I’ll give it a go.
Brewster had a big rep as a recruiter and was a “big get” for UNC given this is one of the few hires from Mack who came from a big time moneyed sec school.
because we recruited so well this year, his preceding reputation caused a lot of us to give him credit for the turnaround. However, if he was truly good at his job and cared about money, would he really have left two jobs in two years or did his managers not appreciate the supposed value he brought? Is he an alcoholic? Why has he worn out his welcome so fast?
TAMU could have easily bettered the salary he was getting at Unc if they thought he was worth keeping around. Just message board posting and this is pure speculation.
You’re a weird guy
Didn't Jimbo try to hire him back this offseason?
I have no idea buddy. I don’t read CFB message boards. I’m just constantly spinning a positive vibe for #mackisback
because I’m higher on him than you?
If Brewster isn't a really good recruiter, he's got a lot of people fooled.
Didn't he recruit fairly well to Minnesota too?
As predicted this ace recruiter who loves Mack brown sticks around at an up coming program.
Former Cardinal/Eagle/Trojan/Bulldog/Bulldog/Sooner DL Coach Chris Wilson has interviewed for the same position in Boulder
you did nothing to state why
we get it you like tim brewster
quit being fucking weird about it
I will not
Given the amount of drugs Jake Scott does, I don’t think anyone is higher than that basehead.
was not aware of this, when u think you know a guy...
Should use the correct thread, and I tried to tell you earlier
He got MN their first top 25 class in the internet era, but most of the 4 stars had major academic and/or legal concerns and never ended up contributing. So he took a lot of stretches for the image of a good class, but we were garbage on the field.
I always heard stories about him with coeds, female support staff, and even things like loudly giving his hotel room key card to bartenders at major donor events, so frequently changing schools is likely tied to some Petrino-type activity.
Great pickup for UNC, much better recruiter than Brewster
we tricked gata so damn hard
Would be awesome if Colorado turned this into Bieniemy
Lilly is in no way a better recruiter than Brewster
hes a great coach though, way better than timothy
I need to go look at who he recruited for us but he was huge under Richt on a lot of kids he wasn’t even primary on fwiw
I don't know enough about Brewster to compare but Lilly is a very good recruiter
I know lilly is a solid recruiter
He was the only one keeping us alive during when Bobby had his simple jack seed running the offense
But he refuses to get grimey
Because he coached under two dadgum men of Christ
hes a good dude, great coach, I think his ned Flanders persona has had an impact on his career trajectory though
so the anti-Brewster
he'll still land some dudes, shit his scripture game alone will clean up in that region
Y'all got a mother fucking scantron for Ryan Mallet?!
I could see Mack pushing him towards the devil.
also mack is going from a guy who pimps himself out for every open position to a guy who is as loyal as they come in the coaching biz
I understand that money talks, but it's hard to fathom the quality of life downgrade in moving from Boulder to East Lansing
And we're off...
He SHOULD be an NFL HC right now... But its a nice feel good story if he did take the job.
Colorado could also look in house for the next HC as I think Chiaverini could take the job. He's been doing a great job at Colorado.
