I legit had a dream about this the other night, NBA rule change, 2 balls in play simultaneously
I was one of the people questioning how much OKC could expect to get for Westbrook and I was very far off. As much as it sucks to lose your guys OKC fans gotta be feeling pretty good right now.
yes im sure presti will be more than happy to start using up his draft capital to acquire a bunch of useless crap from miami
Presti got great value here but to be honest I'd be pretty depressed if I was an OKC fan. To have 4 mvp type players on my team at one point or another and make only 1 finals has to be pretty depressing. What are the chances any of those draft picks turn into players as good as Durant Harden Westbrook or PG?
And then even if they do what are the chances any of those guys will actually want to sign long term in OKC after their rookie deals/extensions are up? They got really lucky Westbrook felt any type of loyalty because if he doesn't sign that extension then they don't re-sign PG and have nothing to show for any of it. Presti has proven to be one of the better GMs so that matters more than anything in the long run but still that what if has to sting.
Has this cunt being himself been posted yet?
All we need now is a Paul-Griffin reunion in Detroit and we have the perfect offseason.
no one celebrates a 1st round victory like a franchise who has hardly had any
I was with you but I guess it only takes one. Fertitta joining some elite company.
Reading Royce Young’s piece on Russ today and read the line, “He won’t be the first Thunder player to have his jersey retired— that honor went to Nick Collison,” and my first thought was, someone retired Nick Collisons jersey?
If I was Mozgov, I would have signed the second the Lakers said "$64 million."
watch just for the Tacko segment at least
Not to mention how badly they used Oladipo, the fifth MVP type player that came through OKC.
I think it's clear they did deliberately misuse him (they didn't stagger him and Russ for example), but I think he also made a leap that summer. Really transformed his body that offseason
maybe okc shouldnt have been cheapskates and paid the luxury tax for one year in order to keep harden, kd and russ together. idk tho how would their billionaire owner have survived without those extra few bucks
They should have traded russ instead of harden
they shouldnt have traded either bc they had a young core coming off a finals appearance and would have had to pay the luxury tax for one year at most with those 3 + ibaka on their deals at the time
I led by agreeing with your premise so as far as spins go that was a poor attempt
Slept on it. Still not happy. Also this from just last year:
This is of course assuming russ is an actual good basketball player rather than an inefficient stat whore
That kid is such a little bitch
oh shut the hell up
Spin level: master
They could’ve used the amnesty on Perk
That would have been actual good decision making. Iirc there was some argument that he's the "only player in the league who can defend ___". Dont remember who it was, dwight maybe? Something ridiculous.
I think I would be less upset about this than I would have been about trading for Russ. Not sure Blake would feel the same way about that, though.
If Blake was okay with it and OKC kicked in an asset or two to make the trade worthwhile, I think I'd do that if I were the Pistons. Don't think they can just straight up trade for him without OKC adding anything else, though, because Detroit would have make it's current team worse in order to do that.
Narrator: Blake was not ok with it.
Blake's been playing with Reggie Jackson and Ish Smith the last 18 months. That can change a man.
Blake for CP3 deal
Oklahoma gets their prodigal son and Detroit gets their small asshole PG that they’ve lacked since Zeke retired.
Let's do it
The parable of the prodigal son definitely applies to Blake Griffin if he were traded to OKC.
Blake left his home state of Oklahoma to the sinful land of LA and would be returning back to the wholesome land of Oklahoma.
Here's what I've got.
You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger
LOL..MG2 will enjoy that Paul/Love combo for years to come. Many, many years
Bill takes a lot of justifiable shit but man I enjoyed reading this with hindsight
I mean, I wouldn't do that trade, but look back at the last 11 years of Pistons basketball and the Paul/Love combo doesn't seem that bad.
He’s almost certainly trying to trigger me into getting involved itt because he knows how much you guys would hate it
Just give us Gallo instead and we'll dump Drummond on the Hawks or Mavs for a lesser expiring. Problem solved.
Yes I’m sure Washington would love to have two busted ass PG’s that they’re paying $40 million each
i've already pretty much decided on my death bed i'll still be wondering "what if" regarding OKC holding on to Harden, paying the tax, etc
I don’t want CP3
Do something Riley, PLEASE
