Wait a second. Do we have to respect Pitt in this thread?
Only if you want to slap your chest in conference pride!
we don't have to like them but we need to respect their ability to mold champion after champion in this great conference
i will NOT be respecting Pitt itt.
Yeah. If this is a requirement I’m out.
this shit goes straight to the top
it's UNCANNY how much dong u chug.
you'd have a harder time not finding this take about Swinney.
yeah, I'd imagine the majority of their fan base felt the same way at the time
so who wins the Coastal next year? have to think UVA will have some hype so definitely not them
Someone not named Miami imo hth
that's exactly the kind of attitude that wins you the Coastal, buster
UVA goes 8-5 again. probably 3 way tie with Us, UNC and Pitt.
media will likely load up on Virginia T this offseason, if they're wrong they can point to recent history and shrug.
Grab bag of shit. Winner will probably be 5-3 in conference.
I think you two may be on to something
I think UVA will have more media hype than VT. VT needs to fix that D if they are going to contend next year and I don't think there's a ton of playmakers on that side of the ball in the pipeline.
VT is an absolute dumpster fire and trust me, we here in Coral Gables know what a dumpster fire looks like
I can’t decide if praising VT or shitting on them will get a better reaction from Rape Ape
I think Fuente is one of the better coaches in the ACC and they got wrecked by injuries this year. I wouldn't call them an out and out dumpster fire.
Well he's not and they have absolutely no playmakers on offense, especially QB. They were terrible and will be again next year
4-4 for everyone in the coastal for once and watch it all burn
i have my doubts, due to the fact most media folks can't get through any bit of positive UVA news without messing up and calling us Virginia T. my bet is even if they intend to pick UVA, they will mess up and say Virginia T.
OK. We'll see next year I guess. I think getting Jackson back at QB will be a huge improvement. I thought Willis was pretty dog shit this year. Hazelton is a solid college WR.
Jackson was is pretty mediocre...
i think clemson is gonna find a way to win the coastal and atlantic
We have the best coaches assembled in any conference. Only a matter of time until we salt the earth and win all trophies.
I'm thoroughly amused by anyone who thinks Jackson is A) good in any fashion and B) will ever take another another snap in Blacksburg.
Willis didn't start until late week 4 and did 2700 yards 24 TD/9 INT and we have zero rushing game to respect, he was totally fine. if all you did was give him Jackson's stats then Willis would have had 3300 29 TD/10 INT. He's far from the issue on offense and totally serviceable.
You'd know better than me I guess. He was pretty underwhelming when I watched him.
Last 6 National Championships by conference
ACC - 3
SEC - 2
B10 - 1
My VT buddy has posited exactly this. BTW, when I suggested that y'all sucked this year due to injuries, he pointed out that the offense should have been going full throttle if Fuente was worth a Shiite. Would love your verbose take.
since 2016 Clemson is 2-0 in CFB National Championship games in years when they lost at home to UVA in bball. yw tigers
Here's to a 2020 home basketball loss
all you nerds are ded
Just win the first one please
just always gonna assume a loss until I actually witness us winning an opener against a p5 team this century
fingers crossed though
Kumah, who is set to graduate from Virginia Tech in May, will seek a graduate transfer opportunity for his final year of collegiate eligibility.
"I want to thank Coach Foster for giving me the opportunity to attend this prestigious university," Kumah tweeted. "I would also like to thank Coach Wiggins for believing in me the last 3 years, for that I will forever be thankful. After talking it over with my family and being informed that my position coach (Coach Wiggins) has accepted a position elsewhere, I've decided that its best for me to enter my name into the transfer portal. This will allow me to explore my options as a graduate transfer for my senior season. Overall, I feel that is best for my future. I will never forget the memories made at Virginia Tech. I will always support my teammates no matter where I end up and hope you all reach your goals. Once a Hokie always a Hokie.
"Thank you Hokie Nationa for being so supportive! You all are amazing fans and I will always remember running out to greet you all to Enter Sandman."
interesting that he thanks his position coach and the defensive coordinator, but not the head coach/offensive coordinator.
What is going on in Blacksburg. One of the UVA twitterheads recommended searching "Fuente" last night on twitter and it wasn't pretty.
last time we beat an fbs team in the opener was tulsa in 2000
last time we beat a p5 team in the opener was indiana in 1997 in mack's last year
so i am not very confident
i'm seeing Cowboy fans asking for Fuente at OC.
