I think it's a metaphor.
He got a 30k settlement.
Said he did it with $11k of a $30k settlement from the accident.
Okay, I’m back to liking this guy.
Watched all the clips on the BTN Twitter feed, dude seems extremely impressive. I'm a big fan of the hire.
I mean he's no Larry Scott, but we'll take what we can get.
That was favorite part. Lesson is , if you want a pool go play in traffic
Hopefully someone asked him how much more he likes Ohio State the than every other school in the conference and his commitment to bias in our favor
The season is cancelled
That's a real dick move after Harbaugh jumped fully clothed into a swimming pool to get the kid to sign.
He might have to go back to trying sleepovers. Oh wait.
Will go to Iowa. Disappointing but shouldn’t make too big of an impact unless Nico Collins, Tarik Black or DPJ get hurt. But those guys have no real injury history so it should be fine.
UM transfer Oliver Martin to Iowa. Did he give a reason for the transfer other than homesickness? Assume he won’t be granted a waiver.
If he wasn't going to start, he'll get the waver. If his Dad is dying, then no. Fuck him. No waiver.
I think that's how it works.
He wants to play in a more dynamic, pass-friendly offense.
Wolfe’s are saying he was passed by a freshman CB from Mass who will be the new slot WR.
I wonder why he wouldn't rather play for Matt Campbell at Iowa State?
I’ll believe that when I see it
Cause he doesn’t want to lose to Iowa anymore.
He was already behind Bell after last season, and then Mike Sainristil came in and got more run than Martin during spring ball. So he probably felt like he was the 3rd guy at the slot position. He might just not be that good. He never really got on the field much or did much though, so it's tough to know.
Having said all that I'm assuming he goes to Iowa and is super annoying and awesome.
Agreed plus with Giles Jackson incoming, I don’t blame Martin for his decision
Why do you seem surprised by my comment if you agree? nofatchildren is parroting the company line.
Martin wasn't really behind anyone in the spring because we had 4 WRs healthy enough to practice. I don't think Sainristil really plays the same position as him, either. He seems like more of a jet sweep/bubble screen/out of the backfield guy, while Martin is a WR. I think he's been hurt a fair amount the first two years, as well, which is why he didn't play a ton. He started getting a decent amount of snaps when healthy last year. He's just not as talented as the other three guys from the same class (DPJ, Collins and Black).
Losing him is shitty because there's not much depth there and a lot of injury history with the starting group. If those three JRs stay healthy this year, it's probably not a big deal. If they get hurt, the drop off is likely significant to whatever the #4 guy is, and Martin would have probably been that guy unless one of the younger guys (Bell or a FR like Cornelius Johnson) steps up in a significant way.
((Long winded post Redacted))
Don’t think Incoming freshmen were the true issue (probably a factor though), he wasn’t gonna surpass Ronnie Bell...The End
Has anyone else noticed what Mike Locksley has been doing at #Maryland Terrapins with the transfer portal this off season?
QB Josh Jackson (Va Tech), led all P5 freshmen QBs in passing yards in 2016, injured in 2017, and found himself on the outside after the coaching change in 2018.
TE Tyler Mabry (Buffalo), first team All-MAC in 2018.
LB Keandre Jones (Ohio State), former no. 98 overall recruit who mostly played special teams but should start at MD.
LB Shaq Smith (Clemson), former no. 81 overall recruit with similar history at Clemson.
Locksley is likely going to build a hell of a team*
*for the coach after him
I’m still shook by the 2007 upset that Illinois hit us when we were No. 1 and Locksley had half of DC Metro starting for that team.
Sorry, Husks. Illinois has to be the West favorite now.
Lol spagett but congrats on getting the best QB the Illini had since Juice
We landed the best QB since Juice Williams in the 2019 class... same name as Juice, too.
Really don't want this one dimensional QB to play.
Peters was better than O’Korn to be sure. That being said, Corch is better than O’Korn too
Some Illinois fans are acting like we're not landing guys who sucked balls elsewhere.
Poor fans are desperate for something positive
It's cool to raise the floor, but your entire offense better kick ass if you plan on starting a slow QB. Ours definitely doesn't.
Williams is really going to play QB? I figured that was just something they told him to get him there.
Brandon Peters is the best Illinois quarterback since Jeff George Jr.
Peters is a good fit for year one of the Illinois Bielema era in 2020.
Sounds like Michigan hired the mastermind behind the 2016-2017 Penn State and 2018 Alabama offenses, and he will be coaching with a chip on his shoulder. Y'all are fucked.
Florida man tricks out his Bentley with the best conference in America
#Rutgers Scarlet Knights #Michigan Wolverines #Wisconsin Badgers
WOW! You really hate to see this!
That’s fake news. All their drinks were spiked at parties with ecstasy. I stand with the team during these troubling times and hope the culprit is brought to justice.
It’s steroids. Our guys are the most jacked and fastest ever
They all take viagra
Definitely not run of the mill. Bigger stuff.
Very credible source. We should begin an investigation immediately.
There are boner pills that give you a bigger boner than Viagra? What are they called? Asking for a friend.
