That's not what I was led to believe when I read from a recruiting guru on a site that definitely isn't the worst that OSU was trying to duke it out over one of the top linemen in the midwest:
Correll to ND may have changed things, no clue, don't care. Sounds like Harrison is struggling at the opening but only recruit I care about this cycle.

#Penn State Nittany Lions I see you are currently being crystal balled for a white DT Steven Faucheux. Sorry for your loss of the no whites class.

Rather than recruit better players, seems like Harbaugh has decided to pay 247 to rank UM recruits higher. Charbonnet jumped to #40 overall in the newest 247 update. Ojabo moved into the top 200. It's a bold strategy.

On Thursday, Nebraska received a commitment from JUCO All American DT Tony Fair, who is rated as a 3 star. He recorded 98 tackles last year at Pima CC. Sorry for the delay in posting, I know many of you have heard the news by now. https://247sports.com/Player/Tony-Fair-15643/
On Saturday, 4 star ILB Nick Henrich, rated as the 87th overall player in the country by premier recruiting service 247 sports, committed to Nebraska. He is also a member of the composite top 247. He chose Nebraska over offers from Penn State, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and others. It took me almost two full days to sift through all the PMs offering congratulations and support, it really touched my heart. Thus the delay in posting about his commitment. https://247sports.com/Player/Nick-Henrich-46038867/
despite being their 2nd highest rated commit, this was actually not a loss at all according to gowolverines8
Today, 3 star DE Mosai Newsom from out Iowa way committed to the Husks. He chose Nebraska over the home state Hawkeyes, Michigan State, and Northwestern. Thank you in advance for any kudos or well wishes you deem necessary. https://247sports.com/Player/Mosai-Newsom-46043169/
Man I really thought Henrich and Newsome might go to Iowa considering all the connections to that program.
Yeah I didn’t mention it but we also landed a grad transfer from UCF starting safety Tre Neal on Friday. He was their 4th leading tackler last year, had the INT in OT that won the conference championship game against Memphis, and had a fumble recovery with a big return against Auburn in the Peach Bowl. But don’t worry, UCF fans have already assured us he wouldn’t have started for them this year and that is why he left.
You mean Emery Simmons? 247 has him ranked as a 4* and the 250 overall player. I think this works out well for us. Our other WR commit, Dunmore is a Florida kid that didn’t get to official to FSU before committing. Also had David Bell on campus today too. He’ll be back in the fall for an official. Opening recap: North Carolina commit Emery Simmons – Simmons ran fast in the 40 to validate his speed but he’s also a guy that plays the receiver position with purpose and strength. He’s not dependent on that speed. Simmons is smooth, fluid in and out of his breaks and had a consistent day in every aspect. Signature play I’m going to cheat a little bit here and go with a play that wasn’t even a completion but it was an eye-opening rep from Emery Simmons nonetheless. Simmons showed a clean release to beat press coverage, got vertical up field and showed good body control to stop on a back shoulder fade and nearly brought in a one handed grab against his body before losing it at the last minute. Even in a drop, it showcased a wide array of skills.
I know he was good at The Opening, but it seems like you guys have a good shot at David Bell. He's not going to OSU unless something drastic happens, and you have to believe PSU could beat out Purdue (unless he really does think he's gonna play basketball there as well). Then again maybe it doesn't even impact Bell at all. Not sure how many WRs you'll take so who knows.
I don't think Dunmore is going to be in the class. I'd be shocked if FSU doesn't eventually find room for him.
