Did SB Nation share what metrics they are using to determine this? Not sure why TN would be the choice for NC unless it's just "signed the top-rated player from the state".
Do 12+. Those are the real numbers we need to see.
We got everyone we wanted from South Carolina.
Willie Taggart is your Head Football Coach
that all you got? Thought you were a congressman
I'm afraid you don't understand why that's a headshot. Willie Taggart .
Tommy Bowden....for a decade
And? He hired Dabo.
This doesn't look right. Pretty sure ND has the top Minnesota and Pennsylvania kids according to 247 composite
yeah this doesn't make sense. Dax Hill is the consensus #1 player in Oklahoma, so we should have a Michigan logo.
We too deep in Rhode Island
Fsu 5.5 over Boise? Lololol
-10.5 damn. I guess I don't know shit about Notre Dame this season...
#Auburn Tigers over #Oregon Ducks surprised me a little
our defensive line will win us that game and life will be fun tell we lose to the fighting jizz jars
No way we should be four-touchdown favorites against Army. With as slow as both teams play they might combine for 10 possessions over the course of the entire game.
Our OL is our strongest unit as well. Skill positions scheme and playcalling will be our downfall if we lose, imo.
if your OL is your strength we maybe in trouble
3 TD home dog...Jimbo and ATM are back!!!
Looks like the game is in Clemson
They're in death valley this year
Looks like TC is not back!!!
if we are talking cocks you're our guy lol
OL is talented, deep and experienced and by far our best unit. Have a top 5 QB (according to NFL scouts) as well but a stable of RBs that doesn’t scare anyone, some potential but nothing proven at WR and a questionable OC so it’s really hard to tell what the Oregon offense will look like.
We return everyone from the two deep, over 130 career starts, PFF loves them, plus we added the #1 JUCO OL.
Your ability to score more than 21 points will win you the game. Herbert will have all day but the receivers won't ever be open so he'll throw a few picks. On the few occasions the WRs are open, they'll likely drop the pass (we dropped almost 60 passes this year that would have amassed to more than 850 yards and over 20 third down conversions, and our WRs will be even worse this year).
Not holding my breath
i thought it wouldve been like 7, but the way the clemson game turned out made a lasting impression
What did you lose from last years team?
How many starters do you lose on each side of the ball? How big of a hit is it to you guys?
Oregon offense: returns 10/11 (lost best WR to early entry. we don't feel good about the replacement)
Oregon defense: returns 8/11 (lost DE, OLB, and FS - all pretty good, especially the DE and OLB. we feel good about the replacements)
OC has a lot of people concerned. DC will be a new promote from within and we think he'll be decent. Our special teams suck.
We return 4 OL starters and the center spot will be manned by someone who also started some games, our QB and 2 starting receivers on offense (but not our best WR of last year) so I think the offense should improve (but thats assuming that Book improves and doesnt deteriorate)
On defense we lose a few key pieces but return a ton of depth. We lose only Tillery on the DL and will have probably the best DL ND has had since the Holtz days. linebackers will be a crapshoot, tons of talented guys out there but with Tranquill and Coney gone the experience is gone. DB will be great, losing Love sucks (as the Clemson game showed) but the safety play will be sweet.
Im really surprised by how low ND ranks in returning production and I think things may be slanted a bit by guys actually losing their jobs like wimbush who was a lot of production still. Dont know enough of the context of the methodology though.
I think the team this year COULD be the best of the BK era and thats the top end of the range but I think realistically its range is probably somewhere between that and the team of 2 years ago that yall faced in SB.
Both dts and both starting linebackers, this might turn into a nightmare if you guys can run up the middle at will. And Julian love, best cb. On offense not much except the starting rb.
Our OL will probably be the best OL we've had in my life time. We replace our center Gaillard who was really good, but we've got a lot of talented options to replace him.
We have somewhat of a new OC so idk what our run game will look like. It shouldn't be too different but until I see it, idk for sure.
I thought -10.5 was high.
Kurt HInish was already pretty much the co starter and we should get MTA back along with another year of Jayson Ademilola development, I think DT should be fine, LB is a bigger point of concern to me
possibly, but the middle of the defense is the unproven part which was my point. lots of talent but unproven.
althought tillery wasn't that great of a run defender. should be interesting. i think we will see early if nd can stay in this game.
I think the clemson mold of game is also possible where we are in the game and look the part until uga breaks 1 or 2 big ones. Since fuller and adams are gone the long TD really hasnt been there much anymore
We lost 4 starters on offense. QB Jarrett Stidham, FB Chandler Cox, leading WR Ryan Davis, and WR Darius Slayton. There's a pretty high chance one of our starting OL transfers before the season starts, and we replace him with some grad transfer
We lost 5 starters on defense. NT Dontavious Russell, LB Deshaun Davis, LB Darrell Williams, LB Montavious Atkinson, and CB Jamel Dean
The losses on defense are much better players than the ones we lost on offense, but we're pretty talented on that side of the ball. Losing all three starting LBs is a big hit though.
Losing the starting QB is usually a pretty big hit, but Stidham was awful last year. Ryan Davis is probably the guy we will miss most on offense. It's tough to predict how the offense will look until we have an idea who the QB will be, because the two main guys competing for the job have completely different skill sets
Hoping this line will move into the single digits closer to game day
So I can hammer your Dawgs, Jacob, for my animal_mother lock o’ the week.
