So I had my early draft yesterday, currently sitting at the airport with a delay. 0.5 PPR league and picked 5th. We have 1 keeper and I kept JuJu for a 3rd.

    David Johnson
    Joe Mixon
    JuJu
    Golladay
    Calvin Ridley
    Allen Robinson
    Tevin Coleman
    Shady McCoy
    Courtland Sutton
    Geronimo Allison
    Dion Lewis
    Austin Hooper
    Big Ben

Waited late on QB and TE based on how the draft went.

Nice snag with Hooper late. Love that WR depth to go with two stud RBs.

Don't ever pay to do Yahoo best ball drafts. I've done 20 of them and at least half the drafts have froze up. I jump onto my desktop and it will be froze up there as well. Now for two days it shows me entered in every best ball draft running, says the league is loading, and it never changes. Both the app and desktop are locked up.

You should be taking Saquon and CMC over Zeke in a .5 PPR anyway.

Using yahoo software for anything fantasy football is a mistake. People hate espn, but I’ve never had near the issues with espn that I’ve had with yahoo. Fucking trash servers

Arcega-whiteside is also getting hyped as a possession goal line type. Agholor back to the slot. Obviously alshon as well but they’re going to spread the ball so much I’m not sure anyone but Ertz will be really valuable. I don’t see sanders getting significant touches in Doug’s plans initially.

First draft slot confirmed, #5 in one of my $100 friends leagues. Kinda seems like the worst spot to be in this year? Looking at DJ for RB or Hopkins at WR?

Or hope that by the end of the month Gurley has had a smooth pre season?

I just had the 5th pick in a 0.5 PPR and took DJ. Expect Hopkins and Leveon to be there as well. You could have somebody get scared of the Gordon and Zeke situations though.

Joining a buddy's keeper league, I get to pick one of 3 teams. Get to keep 2 guys(they go off the board where they have been drafted/held before).
    .5 PPR

    Team A:
    Adam Thielen(Rd 9)
    Deandre Hopkins(Rd 3)
    Christian McCaffrey(Rd 2)

    Team B:
    James Connor(Rd 14)
    Joe Mixon(Rd 3)
    TY Hilton(Rd 3)
(If I pick the 2 receivers they will go Rd 2-3)

    Team C:
    George Kittle(Rd 8)
    Sony Michel(Rd 7)
    Mayfield/Wentz(Rd 3)
    Saquan Barkley(Rd 1)

Not sure my draft position yet or who all else will be kept by the other teams.

Yea. .5 ppr makes both of them good Picks either way depending where he ends up in the first round. But, McCaffrey is most likely the better choice. He is getting so many touches

My league is doing a draft with 11 people in person and 1 person out of state. Is our best bet to still use yahoo (auction league) or is there a better program out there for the draft?

For our in-person draft we just write it on a board and then the commissioner uploads the rosters to yahoo

Yeah the only hitch for us is that 1 guy will be doing it remotely, so we may just have to use the yahoo app to host the full draft.

Joining a new league this year that’s a couple hundred bucks plus a $200 auction budget. Payouts should be nice. The thing is that it’s a 16 team league, standard scoring. Draft order is set a week before the draft. Format for line up is as follows:
    1 Quarterback
2 Running backs (or 1 running back & 1 flex player)
    3 Wide Receivers/Tight Ends(or 2 and 1 flex player), 1 Kicker, and 1 Defense/Special Teams.

I’m thinking of trying to focus on getting a top 10 RB then grabbing high upside mid round RBs. Loading up on WRs and punting TEs. Wait on a QB until the 10 or QBs have been picked.

    Any thoughts on this approach?

Think it just really depends on where you pick from. Like I mentioned earlier I think I'm gonna put Nuk pretty high up there vs the top RBs in PPR. But that's also because I think the overall RB depth looks pretty good this year. If my starters are Kerryon and Damien Williams, flex Miles Sanders, I'm good with that ...

Standard PPR scoring. We don't give up anything. Everyone gets one keeper and that counts as your first round pick. You have to keep someone.

Got the #1 pick in a .75 PPR league. You get one keeper that was taken 6th round or later, I'm keeping Nick Chubb.

Someone tell me why I shouldn't take Alvin Kamara #1

Do you get to keep him anywhere close to his draft round from last year? Because if so, it’s Conner easily. Guy was and will continue being an RB1 and he’s still undervalued currently as a second rounder.

Saquon and CMC had more receptions and yards last year and will get more touches this year than Kamara. Latavius is gonna rotate with Kamara.

"Rotate" is a very strong way of putting it. More like "give him a breather" ...

Edit: I realize too that Hank Scorpio was giving his rationale in the context of "why not take Kamara #1" ... honestly think you can take your pick at #1 between Saquon/Kamara/CMC/Zeke :twocents:

For me, I’d rather have my RB1 going on SNF or MNF than having to pay attention to Barkley or CMac catch a bunch of passes in garbage time of a 1 pm game.

No, it has nothing to do with where you took him last year, unfortunately. Everyone just keeps one olayers and we start the draft with those players off the board. It's basically your first round pick.
