Is there anything more bougie than referring to the holes by their flower name?
Jack is the GOAT. Tiger is the BOAT.
Tiger gets to 18 and he’s both.
One underrated element of Tiger’s golfing career that hasn’t been fully realized yet is his talent and interest in course architecture. His golf IQ is through the roof and in 30 years a “Tiger Woods” course is going to be a common phrase much like it is for Jack.
I think every Stephen A-Skip Bayliss Tiger debate has been relitigated in here over the last five pages. Good stuff, fellas.
I hope he does a better job designing courses than Jack does.
How many old farts were just waiting for CBS Sunday Morning to come on though
He’s got a good start. Bluejack national is supposed to be great. His project in Chicago looks very promising. Scott Fawcett’s proven DECADE system was developed in part just by studying Tiger’s shot selection. His talent is so high that he doesn’t get enough credit for his cerebral edge on the course. I will try to find the figure but Fawcett found that Tiger was averaging something nuts like 4 shots per tourney on the field just through his course management. The system is frequently utilized now and Dechambeau’s early adoption is part of the reason Tiger likes him as a player so much. He sticks to the system. But the whole shot dispersion idea would have to help in designing a course.
Iron play is the most important part of the game and yesterday was absurd.
I know but you get balance with the Sunday morning church crowd too. I still think had it been at its regular scheduled time, it might have been higher. There were people who totally missed it altogether.
You said you wanted Tiger Woods as a pet?
This comment brings up a good point in my mind. Even though clubs today allow you to hit the ball further, further makes accuracy even more difficult.
not even remotely true with how the balls are these days
Tiger could win with a spoon and a niblick
Are they target locking balls? What app should I download on my phone?
He hit a PW into 15 in 1997. I totally forgot about that. I need to go back and rewatch that round.
on sunday in '97, tiger went right on 15 off the tee and tried to hit a 5 iron to the green in 2. he missed so he chipped on with his wedge.
That makes more sense. I knew he was long back then but it lent itself into me believing he didn’t have to lay up.
So many wedges
Bluejack looks awesome. I love the idea of living in one of these communities.
It sucks that the Upstate, SC really has nothing like it.
How in the world do you not have TW in your fan of??
My name has been TTWY before fan of existed and pretty sure I did the fan of before the TW option was available. It would be non-hipster-Tiger-fan-ish of me to add it now.
FINE. I’ll just be sitting over here triggered af
i would agree with you but the courses themselves including Augusta have been lengthened to the point that a second shot is twice as far as it used to be
I think what he is referring to is that going further means a shot today that is x degrees offline might be in the trees where 20 years ago it would be in the fairway. As you go further the spray chart gets wider and wider.
On the flip side a lot of the tech today helps keep the ball straight though too
makes sense, redacted
Can someone tell that to my clubs?
I stay rocking the antique irons so I can spray them all over the course because I’m a golf purist
Staying true to my 14° draw driver with my Nancy Lopez shaft
