Sending the justice department a list of 8 men and women who I believe to be “sluts”
I sent the mods a list of 8 posters who should be banned from this thread for bad posting and let me tell you they were all dbl
I know I'm in the minority on this, but I kind of feel bad for some of the younger players on the Astros in 2017, and it's a big reason I'm not that mad they weren't suspended. I don't hold guys like Kemp, Bregman, Correa and Springer to the same standard as I hold Beltran, McCann and Reddick, especially if reports are accurate that Beltran told them they were way behind everyone else with that stuff and needed to do it to keep up. Those young guys weren't in a position to know better, or to make 15+ year vets to stop. It was the job of the vets on that team, Cora, Hinch and the front office to teach those guys how to play/win, and they went the opposite way.
Leave JD alone!
so cheaters AND snitches
TMB scholars made me laugh.
The Astros should have just hired Greinke as player manager.
Cornelius Suttree, what a good Vandy Boy TK is.
ARod buying the Mets would be hilarious
Houston hasn't torn down their last baseball stadium
So long, Hellboy.
I find this unnecessary!
The people who run these social media accounts are the worst.
The Rays did one of these dumb Valentine’s tweets for every MLB club, and they are all so bad.
I’m convinced that they’re all run by a couple of people because I refuse to believe that there are 30 people that insufferable
Not sure if still the case but do know the Yankees and others were run by MLBAM
NBA team accounts might be worse because so many NBA fans love that stuff (at least pretend to).
All in on Trevor Bauer rants.
Shame he'll probably get ejected if he throws within 6 inches of any Astros player if he gets the chance
Over / under on Astros getting hit this year?
I'm not a Bauer fan, but I found myself nodding along there and was kind of happy for him as I read him get to say a bunch of that stuff.
I'm still biased on the subject, but I thought his Verlander dig about Osuna was a bit harsh. There could be some personal history between the two I'm not aware of, though.
That's been my thinking too, there is going to be people on their high horse get busted later on if we get another whistle blower.
Smoltz has been doing a lot of MLB Now and MLB Tonight recently. I like him significantly better as a studio analyst than as a game analyst, and hope at some point it carries over better to the FOX broadcasts.
If we are to believe the reports, McCann did try to stop it, just like Hinch.
Also Springer and Correa had at least 2 years of service prior to this shit going on. And Springer has to be in his mid to late 20s. They knew what they were doing.
And what excuses them for doing it for 2 more years after the fact? The Yankees and Nationals both knew they were stealing signs this past post season.
Hope the pitchers aim at the buzzers and miss high
I bet if Altuve gets beaned in the face a bunch of times the Astros will give the Dodgers the 2017 title and everything will be better
Why do people keep assuming this is a Yankees/Dodgers thing? Every baseball fan I know IRL thinks they got off easy and that covers a lot of different fan bases the Astros never faced in the postseason
but yes Altuve definitely deserves our sympathy
4 biggest baseball fans in my group of friends (2 Cubs, Red Sox, Nats) think it’s overblown.
I didn’t say it was a Dodgers/Yankees thing, the 2017 WS just happens to be the thing that the Astros won.
I wouldn’t say that they got off light, but I can easily see why it was in the best interest of baseball to try to move forward instead of ending up with an early 2000s Tour de France scenario sorting through cheating that I assume is not limited to the Astros, in which at most the only question is as to the degree of rule breaking.
I don’t think them getting off light is a reason to celebrate the upcoming goonery we are sure to see this year as players enact vigilante justice (and definitely am not going to fault Dusty for trying to protect his players).
Because the most angry people ITT seem to be LAD/NYY fans, and because the players/front offices quoted the most have been from those two teams.
Also, because you kind of just said you hope pitchers hit Houston players in the head with baseballs.
I hope they get hit in the head as well.
why get pitchers suspended when you can just have the mascot mow them down with the bullpen car
