Globe life is still usable right
Prolly gonna be played in Arizona according to local radio.
That is the smart play imo
All these leagues canceling important regular/postseason games in the college and pros, and MLB continues to bring crowds in to watch baseball games that don't count. Makes sense.
In the two areas with the highest concentration of boomers in the nation no less.
Regular season is delayed at least 2 weeks. Rest of spring training games canceled.
let's hope no Yankees get injured during this time off
This is all a conspiracy to give Judge and Stanton enough time to get healthy before the season starts
Nobody gives a shit with everything else going on but seems like a very serious issue with Trey Mancini. Tumor on his colon, seemed like he didn't want the attention so released it when nobody would notice.
Saw he was hurt but didn’t realize how.
You don’t think at least 1 yankee will get the virus?
Paxton for sure.
How'd I not know they were opening a new park?
Because they smell
So they’re just going to pick up where the game are on the schedule when they resume, right?
I’d think shifting the schedule back would be a logistical impossibility. However it’s not like they’re sharing these stadiums other teams, so it might be doable. Idk
Are you ready for the WS in NY in December?
This seems like a perfect year to institute a rule preventing extra innings or expediting the finish
Would almost be worth it for the sportswriter bitching.
Players would likely have to agree to a pay reduction if that happens, but it is the most sensible plan
They're not really going to play 162. They won't be able to start until May, at the earliest, now that spring training has been shut down. I'm already looking forward to the "baseball season was so much better with fewer games. They should do that all the time!" from non-baseball fans in media.
I’m willing to take back-to-back champs if it keeps everyone safe.
Edit: Soto shuffle with my tongue out
If it were to ever happen...
They should just cut out the inter league games and reschedule the missed divisional games.
I still have like 3 of the top 10 right now episodes on my DVR that I hadn't watched. (And the rest available for rewatch) So that will fill a day or two I guess.
Can’t do that. Too many off days with odd league teams.
I also just saw that the cardinals play all 7 of their games against the dodgers in April while the rest of the division doesn’t play them until later in the season.
So I agree it’s probably best to just pick up where the schedule is and let the chips fall where they may.
Trevor Bauer might not be the hero we want right now, but he's the hero we need
what if I'm a big baseball fan not in the media and I think they should play less games?
Then I'm ready to be disappointed in you

there ain’t gonna be a season this year guys
every day i get closer to jumping out my window
Hell yeah. Tigers should get number 1 pick again in 2021
Yeah I’m beginning to think that as well
Al Avila is happy with this news
So if there was no season, I'm guessing 2020 doesn't count as service time for players on rookie deals. I wonder how that would work.
that language has to be in the CBA already.
I started off joking about seeing a doctor for a paxil script and now I think that's becoming a real possibility
