My sources have failed me for the last time
Thanks for making me look like an idiot in front of my friends
Tell ya what, I actually enjoyed watching the Royals lose last night.
It quenched a thirst I'd long had.
It would be nice for the fine people of Pittsburgh to finally get the chance to watch some talent after waiting so long since Bonds Bonilla VanSlyke era
this makes sense but is way less fun
How is it not fun? The more games at PNC the better
Giving Pittsburgh a 2nd shitty baseball team is way less fun than giving a non-mlb community a team for a few months.
it takes a big man to admit he was wrong.... but you've got me here. my apologies
I forgive you
We'll see if your sources are more informed than Jerry Reinsdorf on this topic
Padres went out and lost our first exhibition game 1-0 last night. WE. ARE. BACK. BABYYYYY!!!!
How demoralizing is it for the D-backs to lose a combined 21-3 [two games] to the Dodgers leading up to the season? Who the fuck is gonna step up in the West? Colorado? SD?
Probably not demoralizing at all
Highly doubt they can get over that meaningless exhibition loss
hearing the dbacks are disbanding their franchise after suffering two humiliating losses in meaningless games to the dodgers
sad state of affairs out west
They’re not playing in front of fans or doing in person fan events. What community engagement are you thinking of?
A team playing in a non-mlb city would undoubtedly be cool for the city. Sports coverage. Memorabilia. Games taking place in the community. Pretty simple.
It obviously isn't like they get to go to the games (although, that might happen). But it is a unique situation.
hate to see a melty like this
If a game takes place without a community, is it in the community? Will local Buffalo NBC 7 start doing wall to wall coverage at the 11:00 news of an event their viewers can’t see in person and can’t watch on tv? Will Buffalo citizens suddenly develop a need for Toronto Blue Jays apparel?
buffalo has an NFL team lol at acting like them getting a fan less, 60 game MLB season will be some blessing on a small town
I was hoping they’d play in charlotte. I would break out the binoculars to see Vlad and Bichette
The answer to most of these questions is yes. Buffalo is a uniquely fanatical place. hth
You’ve got some real four corners shit going on in the places you live/root for
Because of MLB TV contracts there’s zero chance that any location can watch the Jays on the local affiliate. Because they’re not playing in Canada.
Gavin Lux sent to minors camp, and so was Casey Mize. Tigers and Dodgers appear to be playing the service time game.
Thanks! My parents were born and/or raised in each various location and by the time Nashville got pro sports teams, I had already latched onto the teams of my parents.
Damnit, drafted Lux. Think he'll be up after a week?
Yes he will for sure.
edit from what I listened to today he will be. Just manipulation from the guys I heard it from.
Probably at some point but Dodgers will play Kiké and Taylor plenty. He isn’t going to be an every day guy until maybe next year
Manny cut off Damon's throw 16 years ago today. Man Damon had a shit arm
This guy just never got a fair shake!
bro what is your infatuation with finding these double digit follower twitter accounts to get worked up over
That’s an improvement from what they actually have
Lol can not believe they deleted it
Why delete it after 45
Dang. That poor social media intern is probably getting a lecture rn lol
What was it?
Hate to see it
