Willie offered him at Oregon and committed to him there FWIW
Mullen is on fire, guys
Attn bama et al
He wasn’t a “take” for us
I don’t even know who the other 2 guys are but that was so cringeworthy
Judging by how uncomfortable the interviewer guy was I’d venture to guess it was something Deion threw together at the last second trying to get some Seminole TV time
It was definitely Deion’s attempt to carry water for Taggart. The kids were obviously clueless about what was going, but is anyone surprised that Deion pulled some shit like this?
stop being racist boo
This was Deion being typical Deion. As for the Henderson kid, this was from a postgame interview:
"I don't think this is the finish line in my recruitment," Henderson said. "I talked with Coach Kelly before the decision, and he understands it's just getting started. I'm really excited about that FSU visit to see what my comfort level is like there, and how I feel there ... but also how I'm going to be used in the offense. I have a lot of close relationships, so I'm going to factor everything in. This will be a big visit for me."
I don’t think any of us are confident Henderson sticks or even qualifies, so nothing here surprises me.
Sounds like ol' rambo hunter to me
#Miami Hurricanes and Jake Scott what are your thoughts on Thomas Brown as a RB coach?
Your fanbase is going to hate him, our conservative fanbase did. I thought he was decent, got us 5* Lingard.
got any cancers on the team?
I don't understand what you're trying to say, I think you're confusing us for Clemson fans.
From the words out of our 5* RB's mentor. Great recruiter, awful coach. plays favorites and has half the offense hating him.
I can't complain about the way Miami RBs played under him. Seems he was hit or miss as a recruiter and alot of Miami fans soured on him at the end because he was to pro black on Twitter.
I stopped reading at great recruiter
Please pull this up, because that is not what he said unless I missed it
RB coach? Meh.
BMac was always the better recruiter and coach IMO.
Worst rb coach we've had lately. Bmac and DM are both exponentially better.
Wow Georgia fans are clearly scared I'm loving this potential hire
He was only a coach here for a year. I don't really have much of an opinion on him because it was a disaster of a year on all fronts.
he's definitely an expert at being part of a disaster
I don't think he was a bad coach at all. Our OL sucked ass under Richt and Travis Homer just missed 1k rushing two years in a row. Unsure of him 'playing favorites' but it was odd that an elite kid in Lingard didn't see the field before he got hurt.
Recruiting was a mixed bag. He had Anthony McFarland wrapped up until the 11th our in '17 but then came through with two really good backs (Lingard and Cam Davis) last year. We didn't have anyone committed this year.
He tried fighting Pruitt at practice in 2015 and hitched his career to Mark Richt and his fledgling purgatory bible study. Id question his judgment.
Decent recruiter though.
Richt's offensive staff was perfect since no one was going to bump heads with him
Feel like he blew a huge lead for Zamir and Dell had to do a ton of work to get him back.
WHERE’S THE RECRUITING MOMENTUM?
The biggest thing I learned at the week of Under Armour is that FSU's recruiting momentum is currently at a standstill. This was my 11th year covering this game and this one had the least amount of FSU buzz that I can remember.
The number of FSU commits participating in the game was down from previous years, but it was more than that.FSU’s season has clearly taken a toll on recruiting. Despite a valiant effort from commitments like Jaleel McRae and Kalen DeLoach, four-star receiver Arjei Henderson still picked UF over FSU, only exacerbating FSU’s lack of juice on the recruiting trial right now. Henderson isn’t a player of need, FSU is okay at receiver, but his commitment to UF showed a shift in power this cycle. Henderson committed to Taggart at Oregon, but went with FSU’s rival on live TV Thursday night.
A commitment on ESPN could have given the coaching staff a much needed shot in the arm coming out of the dead period. Now they hit the stretch run with little to celebrate this offseason and plenty of questions that still remain. Who will FSU’s QB be in 2019? How will they finish the OL class? Will FSU hit the numbers it needs at LB? All major questions, with very little momentum as National Signing Day approaches.
I didn't think he was an early enrollee. Good news.
We offered Derrick Brown's brother a scholarship to play fullback
Thanks for sharing
He’s a flake apparently and projects to be a bad locker room influence. I’m not sure why Taggart wants him when changing the culture is an important focus.
Taggart hired Kendall Briles so...
I thought this had happened already?
This is not how you respect a decision with no interviews
I thought Bogle was a Miami lean
No, but it does mean Williams to LSU in all likelihood.
Hammerin Hank South has been on the Bogle to Bama train since his official visit a couple months ago and never wavered
27 4*+5* has to be a record
At some point I'm going to go back digging in this thread for when we got completely shitted on for saying we wouldn't have any 3 stars in this class
IIRC, I admitted we would have one. Our kicker.
No one wants to be apart of the grease fire Richt left
FWIW we dont expect this recruitment to be over. We heard he was pretty torn and I'm sure Diaz wont give up on this one.
