Jordy had a roster bonus due this week that we moved up to December and paid him early... We gave him 3.6 million extra just to cut him now

Wish the Eagles would kick the tires on Crowell.
Meanwhile Howie is stockpiling them thanks to these idiot GMs :smug:

    Solid signing IMO

Need a guy or two that can be ok, but not break the bank for the transition back to a 4-3. They accomplished that.

Because he chose to go back to NO to be a back-up over signing with Miami to probably start and make more money.

Yeah one year for $7.25 is a little weird.

I think that number makes Bridgewater the seventh-highest paid player on the team (so far)? I'm not sure if that is correct.

Figured we’d want to get for at least 2 to take over the following year. Have to assume that’s the plan just weird to have to renegotiate next year unless Brees isn’t sure he’s going to retire

I bet you're absolutely right on this. Brees might follow the Brady path and want to play until he's 45, or at least say he does.

Doesn’t Brees have a 40 million cap hit for ‘20? Would be weird to assume he’s not playing for at least two more years

  28. Arkadin

That's only if he plays. It's like 21 if he doesn't. They're just kicking that 21 down the road and will eat it the year he retires.

The cap number for Brees changes a lot so wouldn’t worry about that. They extend him, change salary to bonus and just general cap fuckery all the time.

they will restructure again, he will retire, and Saints will have to tank due to Brees' 60m cap charge.

Brees was dog shit down the stretch last year. Bridgewater might be gambling on getting run this year.

I thought his arm looked shot. Father time is undefeated, he and Brady looked like they were throwing shot puts. Not that Brews isn't, but just goes to show how good TB is at the cerebral.

I like the teddy deal for both parties. Teddy is pretty much betting on himself to show up when called upon and perform in practice while earning the next up after Brees. Saints can see how he progresses post injury still and how well he fits within the scheme and then decide his worth for a longer contract

Pelican Grove or others why do you think the market wasn’t strong for mark ingram? The more I read and watch film the more I like. I know it was easy to be overshadowed by kamara but he was pretty damn good in his own right.

Also why would the saints sign latavius murray for almost as much money instead of signing ingram? Did ingram just want a bigger role?
