what friendship lmbo
It’s not a friendship when one of them has won SEVEN IN A ROW against the other
hey buddy are you aware of this?? wowzers
Was catching up on the thread and clicked on this tweet. Saw this in the resposes....looks like the Russian bots have infiltrated SEC football Twitter
2020 bowl talk - SEC will have 3 teams play in the Vegas Bowl from 2020-2025
The Las Vegas Bowl
In 2020, the Las Vegas Bowl moves from UNLV’s Sam Boyd Stadium to the new Las Vegas NFL stadium. In the course of the six-year deal, the SEC and Big Ten will each make three appearances against the Pac-12 in the Las Vegas Bowl. It’s expected to be either the third or fourth Pac-12 team after the Rose and Alamo Bowls are filled. It’s unknown what selection the SEC and Big Ten would send from their respective conference.
This will mark the first Pac-12 and SEC non-playoff bowl matchup since the 1989 Freedom Bowl. The Pac-12 currently plays bowl games against each of the Power 5 conferences except for the SEC. The two conferences have played in only nine non-College Football Playoff/New Year’s 6 bowls.
The Belk Bowl
The Charlotte-based bowl will rotate an SEC or Big Ten team, based on which league is in the Las Vegas Bowl. The Charlotte Bowl annually will feature an ACC team between 2020-25 against either an SEC or Big Ten team, with each league making three appearances. If an SEC team is in Las Vegas, a Big Ten team will be in Charlotte, and vice versa.
100% chance we play in a Vegas Bowl at some point
Vegas Bowl would actually be pretty cool for the fans, so zero chance we get picked for it
He must not have had a permit. You can have a gun on campus now
I dont think campus carry applies to some buildings that are deemed for "athletics"; like you cant bring a gun to football stadium or basketball arena. I think where they found the gun was another one of these venues. So if he had been in a regular classroom across the street with his guns, it would have been OK. Stupid fucking law, but if the intent was to allow weapons in churches/schools idk why not just allow it everywhere without exception.
That parenthetical is definitely helpful to this story.
Glad to know we aren't the only school that gets trolled by our local media
What’s going on with Ali K Ho
bertwing is Pettway worth a shit as a WR?
Seems like he has decent size and good YPC last year but know nothing else about him
Physically he looks like he should be in the NFL. In the spring he looks like he should be in the NFL. On Saturdays in the fall he looks like he should be D2.
So, he’s a pretty good fit with what Auburn has going on at WR the last decade or so.
We like to severely pigeon hole our WRs.
Can he run fast and straight? That's his role atm
Follow up to stuhly’s excellent question, how is his run blocking?
#1 trait needed to see the field at Auburn.
Gotta block for our running QB who sucks dick throwing a football and those dives up the middle
He’s a 4.5 guy and is a big body and decent blocker, but wasn’t as good as our other 5’11 stocky WR
bams what’s going on with your Hawaiian linebacker
When was the last time UF beat AU? Great idea!
Congrats to our Auburn friends on another ring
Did we play between 02 when we beat you in Auburn and the two times Tubs smoked y'all in 06/07ish??
So I guess 01 in Gainesville?
Just wiki’ed it...02 Gainesville
Yeah year off
Those 06/07 games were fun.
Jesus, our once annual game now occurs 2 in 12 years.
Fuci the SEC and expansion
2002 @ UF was Ronnie Browns coming out party
This reminds me of when Tennessee scheduled us for homecoming in 2013 we won by like 5 TDs
We've lost our last 2 homecoming games in embarrassing fashion. Let's see if we can't keep the streak alive!
Fake news...on no planet is that “in coverage”
Which coach doesn't belong?
#Texas AandM Aggies
Give me your way too early thoughts on this years team? What did you guys lose off of last years team?
Bill Belichick does not belong because he does not work for Alabama and is not a college coach.
Belichick. He could hack it in the pros.
lechnerd has already predicted two national championships. Win one, add another to the outside of the stadium.
LMBO y'all couldn't even handle Texas. Buckle up!
The only sincere content lechnerd posts are objective write-ups on the strengths and weaknesses of our team in the preseason. I'll defer to him. We lose a lot of key players, many of whom will be replaced by talented but largely unknown/unproven guys. Hard to say. If the defense doesn't miss a beat we'll be very good, but there's too much turnover for me to predict that. Accordingly, it is hard for me to predict that we would improve on last year's regular season win total of 8, but I could see it.
I do predict that we will extend our streak over the #Arkansas Razorbacks to EIGHT in a row.
QB - Kellen Mond - had big jump from freshman to sophomore years, most of that liklely secondary to Fisher’s tutelage. He’s not always the most consistent player but seems to shine in the biggest of moments. No QB had more success against Clemson last year than Mond, he threw for over 400 yards against that vaunted D. And then there was the LSU game. Mond had a mediocre first 3 qtrs but at the end of the game and the subsequent 7 OT’s he was magical. Has a nice straight line running ability if the pocket breaks down. Part of Mond’s inconsistency involves slow starts but once he gets rolling there is not a QB in the country that will throw a more beautiful and accurate spiral. Depth is a lot of unknowns at this point. Team strength.
RB - we lost the SEC’s leading rusher in Trayveon Williams. In steps Jashaun Corbin, sophomore with good combination of speed and power. Most are very excited about him and he looked good in relief last year as a true freshman. Backups are bruisers who will likely get a lot of playing time. Team strength.
OL - lost two guys, one of them who cares, the other was our starting C, total badass headed to the NFL. There’s not a ton of talent here across the board. Somehow they managed to come together as a unit last year and were serviceable. Again paced the way for the conference’s leading rusher so they were doing something right. We lost our OL coach to the NFL so new guy is in place. Team weakness.
TE - lost the nation’s most productive TE to the NFL as well as a good backup. Return a young guy and have two talented kids coming in, one of whom, Baylor Cupp, was the #1 TE in the country. He is college ready. Team strength.
WR - very similar group to Kellen Mond...spectacular at times but inconsistent. Make ridiculous catches and drop easy balls. Led by Quartney Davis and Kendrick Rodgers. Good depth behind them and a very talented kid coming in as a true freshman. Team strength.
DL - DE a mystery, DT should be solid. Lost Daylon Mack and Kingsley Keke to the NFL. DT Justin Madubuike returns and is very good. Sophomore Bobby Brown has DE and DT experience but has been bulking up so will likely slide inside. Peevy will likely see heavy playing time as well. That’s a solid 3 man rotation. Outside Michael Clemons returns after missing all last year with injury. He looks the part but hasn’t stayed healthy. Opposite him tons of options but none proven. Overall team strength.
LB - yikes. Lost two guys to the NFL. Very barren corps behind them. Buddy Johnson is solid. Stud recruit Anthony Hines missed last year after blowing out his knee. He is good but who knows how he will be after the injury. Ton of freshman recruits, no studs, likely will be forced into action. Big area of concern especially against those UGA running backs. Team weakness. Big time.
CB - we bring back everyone but that’s actually a bad thing. Debione Renfro I love but he doesn’t cover terribly well. He talks a lot of shit and hits people whenever he gets a chance. Opposite him is even less talent. We have a very good freshman coming in named Erick Young and we signed the #1 JUCO CB so hopefully they’re ready to go. Expect a lot of movement here by the time we face Georgia. Team weakness.
S - lost our defensive leader in Donovan Wilson. Now-sophomore Leon ONeal had a very good bowl game and looks good to start. We bring back the other S but I think he loses his job fairly quickly to 1 of 2 incoming talented freshman. Team strength.
Smart money says we go 8-4 this year. I think we hit 9 wins personally. Our schedule is a nightmare where Bama at home may only be our 4th toughest game this year with UGA and Clemson on the road combined with a what-will-be homicidal LSU playing is in Death Valley following last year’s 7 OT thriller that featured a post-game fist fight between opposing coaching staffs.
We have talent to make our own noise this year and odds are we pull off an upset or two against some of those heavyweights, while the final record likely stays the same as last year.
Win total is at 7.5 right now.
You should bet the over and make a killing.
I have some other sure things brewing at the moment.
I expect pain and misery
to happen to me for following this program
I feel like me and wes tegg have this in common
Should boot him imo
Yea nothing will come of that
ACC cops trying to take down SEC cruits
