Thread needs to be restarted by someone who loves and admires the city this game will be held in. Someone who respects the fact that Mobile is the birthplace of Mardi Gras and the cultural Mecca of the state of Alabama.
Clown Baby come be our hero
How strong is the Mobile contingent on TMB?
P sure it’s me and you and some Clemson fan. hawk or something. There’s guys who are from Mob pretty heavy tho but they left. Tiffin lives in Foley I believe
8 draftable qb's? Some of them are gonna get like 5 plays and hit the showers
I am literally parked in front of the Senior Bowl office in Mobile right now. Will post pics soon
Other F town on the Eastern Shore.
Foley is close enough... I was hoping Clown Baby was in driving distance so we could get together and talk aioli.
I can go to practice and get some live reports in. They always have one team practice over here.
I’d rather talk king cake
Yall want to meet at Pollman's for lunch?
I stay here Tuesday to Thursday most weeks. I’m about to go crush some Panini Pete’s for lunch. Consider me an honorary member.
Wow. This guy is a true Guy's guy, you guys.
As long as it's only talk, I'm on a diet
I definitely want to, but that's a trip I can only make if I wasn't coming back to work.
I went to college with one of the Pollmans, she would bring back trays of elite-tier desserts whenever she got back to town. Good times.
I would but Namans is catering lunch here at the salt mine and I never pass up a free meal!
I’ll be at the brickyard doing blow in the bathroom after work though if anyone is interested
Jealous. LoDa has a lot of great options for lunch, I almost never get to go.
I haven't bought blow in a bathroom downtown since the last time I went to Boo Radley's.
Med. Sand. > Panini Pete's
Regina's for lunch, Pollman's brownie for dessert.
A buddy of mine tried to buy blow from a guy on a bike with a keyboard. Guy brought him crushed up aspirin and it wasn’t even fully crushed. One of the aspirin still had the imprints. You live you learni suppose
Oh god yes. 2 am drunk MedSand is love
Hahahaha I know that guy. He's delusional. He stopped in Merry Widow and it was just me and my friend one night and he started telling us he was Michael Jackson 2.0. All about being a showman, the music part was easy. A separate time he told me that he was going to be playing 1065fest last summer
Haha that night he left to go get the bag but he left his keyboard as collateral with us till he got back. I’ve got video of like 10people on the sidewalk taking turns violently attempting to play Vanessa Carlton’s downtown on it and singing together in drunken unison. It’s absolutely hilarious
One of my friends opened the Taco Mama in town. still need to go check it out myself.
How about the blind mule, callahan's or butch cassidy's for a burger?
I like both. Med for the gyro box and panini for their muffuletta sammich. Regina's is good too
We have an ongoing dispute here at the office about who has the best burger in mob town.. Who's ya'lls fav?
I actually recently won a $50 tab at Callaghans for signing up for text alerts about their music. OH SHIT, today is Wednesday, they've got the Conecuh burger today!
This is Clown Baby’s wife. After reading your post, he killed himself. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers at this time.
Redneck gyro from Med is god-tier
I was pledge brothers with your friend. Called him Skeet or Mama Hunter and watch how mad he gets
Callaghan's is one of the only things I miss about Mobile. Such an incredible bar
Callaghan's. But I've only had Butch's once, and haven't eaten a burger at Blind Mule. Did have some of my friends chili fries once.
LoDa Biergarten used to have the best, but I haven't frequented there in a couple years after they kept raising beer prices. They do have some tasty black bean fritters last time I went tho.
Damn, I didn't know that. I actually went to a couple rush parties with Jeptha, we go way back.
Butch imo but Callys is close. I ain’t mad at either
Ayyyyye eastern shore for life
My boss offered me the opportunity to move down here and work from home but wouldn’t give me a raise. The live-in girlfriend, who is actually from Summerdale, was adamantly against it so we decided to stay in Birmingham. Can’t dexide if I regret it yet or not.
Have you guys been to el papis yet? Heard it was pretty good but I haven’t been yet
Yeah, I like both Callahans and Butches. Have yet to try the Blind Mule but have had their ghost pepper sauce(its made in house fresh)and its amazing. Loda, is for liquid refreshments imo. Across the bay its Ben's bacon and cheddar all day.
Ben Jr's? Closed like a month ago.
I haven't, but a friend's boyfriend works(ed?) there right after they opened and she said she thought it was over priced. She's very much a dragonfly taco snob though, so idk.
Yeah I’m skeptical because it’s the same people that do 5 and I’m not a big fan of that place (outside of the white chocolate bread pudding omg)
Damn, did it? I drive by it every day almost and hadn't noticed. I knew the guy wanted to sell it awhile back but never heard anything else. I moved from one side of Fairhope to Montrose and usually grab cousin vinny's phat burger or just smoke my own when in the mood.
I had avocado toast at 5 a few weeks back. Only time I've eaten there. Felt like going peak millenial.
