I could see this happening in a world where both teams are just happy to be getting rid of a problem child without doing any research on the player they’d be getting in return. I can’t wait for the Lukaku Derby when Inter go to Lazio. Would the terrible Lazio ultras racially abuse one brother and not the other?
Board decided today that James will not be purchased after the loan ends in a couple weeks. He’ll go back to Real and his agent is already looking for suitors. I’ve seen Arsenal and Juve mentioned but Juve is mentioned with literally every transfer rumor.
When he’s in form he’s stellar. Having said that, he’s almost always hurt and he’s allergic to playing anything that might remotely be considered defense. Not meaning to knock him at all, as he was glorious under Heynkes. It’s obvious Kovac hates him.
I think James is a horrible fit for premier league football. I’m sure we are already being linked to him but I don’t like how players like him have translated to the premier league.
Seems like there is some smoke coming out that Qatar is getting tired of losing in the champions league and the bad press that PSG have gotten for a variety of other reasons and might look to tone down funding or sell the club. Seems like a good summer for someone to test their resolve on Neymar. Unless Madrid want him I don’t see where he could go. United makes sense but only if they somehow grab a champions league spot.
If they fire Tuchel, look for him to get hired by Bayern before the close of business. Brazzo tried to get him before he hired his fourth choice Kovac.
James makes zero sense for Arsenal unless Ozil is leaving. and even then he still only makes a little bit of sense.
I get why you wouldn't be able to comprehend this, but some teams have limited funds to work with and need to prioritize certain areas of need.
Lets not act like Arsenal is some poor selling club. Plus he's not gonna cost anymore than $60M at this point.
60mil is a lot of money to a vast majority of clubs in the word. I say that as a fan of a premier league team who just spent 20 million for the first time
Arsenal is one of the wealthiest 10-12 clubs in the world, no? They've spent over $100M 2 of the last 3 years. Yikes
They have, and if you know anything about Arsenal, that’s more reason they won’t spend 60mil on a single player
I was pointing out that you said they don't do X even though they had just done X recently. Twice. And lol bro a decade ago $60M would have been like a top 5 most expensive transfer all time. Hardly anyone spent that kind of money. The market has changed, drastically.
My point was Arsenal hasn’t generally been huge spenders. Yea they’ve done it on occasion, but you’re treating it like they’re a City/United who just blow money They’re obviously capable. But my point still stands that 60 million is outside the realm for a majority of the clubs in the world, and that doesn’t even include the wages
Think we're like 7th in revenue, Barca/Real/Bayern, Man U, oil money, and normally around Chelsea. Liverpool surpassed us recently We spent big of fucks like Mustafi and gave Ozil 300k a week to not care, just horribly ran and owner doesn't give a fuck. Badly need CL and hopefully Kroenke meets an untimely demise
Sorry, that was rude of me. I apologize for my insolence. The word is that Franck will go back to Galatasary, although I’ve seen him mentioned with both Milan teams and some Chinese team. I know some MLS players have tried to recruit him too.
Bayern and Timo Werner agreed to terms. Transfer fee will be decided after the Pokal final later this month.
They want 60. I’m sure we’ll offer 8 or some such nonsense. They don’t have much leverage since they came out and said he won’t sign their extension offer. They’re not in a financial position to risk him walking on a free next summer.
So is he not gonna consider offers from anywhere else at this point? I’m assuming that every major team would be able to offer him some serious wages knowing that the fee could be so low
Sounds like Godin is going to Inter Man that presser was tough to watch. A great and loyal defender for them for a while.
Don't know where else to put this so I'll put it here since it could possibly affect some transfers this summer.
Idk the last I saw it was pretty much Barca’s to lose but de Ligt wasn’t completely on board going there yet. With a Raiola player who the hell knows what’s true and what isn’t. I think if de Ligt fires him, it’ll be bidding war central. If he doesn’t, I suspect he’ll end up at Barca.
Went back and read the de Ligt timeline and el oh fucking el at Man U. Offers ridiculous money for de Ligt, gets denied by de Ligt, then says they pulled the offer because de Ligt has fat relatives
