Corona virus is going to bankrupt some of these production companies.
Not looking forward to 420 fest getting canceled, but its bound to happen.
Never thought I'd see Kendrick Lamar ahead of Sir Paul on a Glastonbury lineup.
I feel so bad for my colleagues. They are all hella depressed rn. Everything is getting pushed to Sept - Nov. These festivals are going to have major issues with operations due to a lack of talent since so many events are trying to happen in such a short time period. The lineups will also all change due to issues with contracts.
I can only imagine the festival graveyard this year
Be a real shame if it brought an end to edm festivals.
I hate thinking it but this plays really well for my software company. We needed a little more time to ship our MVP. This gives us the time we need to really dial in the product.
So buku is moving to that weekend. Im crushed. was really looking forward to partying in new Orleans this weekend
Please don’t be Roo. That’s my wedding weekend.
Maybe not Roo
Fortunately Bonnaroo has plenty of time to figure out a Plan B. Here's to hoping that we don't need it.
This fall is going to be a shit show. Lot of festivals will go under this year. The big corporate events are going to kill the small independent events.
I believe October is what I’ve heard. I can find out what weekends they contracted. Nola has 5 straight weekends of festivals through October
Roo is fucked.
fat fucking chance
This was Roos highest selling ever year too
Don’t know about that. 11 and 12 IMO. This year sold well though.
Is this a real question?
September seems incredibly ambitious for an event where 200,000+ people will be in extremely close proximity with one another.
Roo isn’t that big but ya there’s a lot of unknowns ahead.
Yeah looking at how the nation is handling the virus, ill be surprised if all these fests go ahead as planned
all festivals are going to get "delayed"
Was 100 percent going this year. Obviously seems really really unlikely now
Saw so many bandanas being worn when I was out for groceries this morning. Almost felt like I was at a festival.
I don't really know why, but I think Glastonbury typically lists their biggest headliner second on the poster. In 2013, Arctic Monkeys were listed first and Rolling Stones second. In 2014, Arcade Fire first and Metallica second. In 2016, Muse first and Adele second.
I thought it was to line up the days they played but last year it was The Killers first and The Cure second (in line with the bigger act being second given The Cure's size in the UK), but the third headliner (Stormzy) played Friday.
My Morning Jacket is streaming their set from 2016 Shaky Knees on YouTube and nugs right now. Tune in if you’ve never seen them.
We 2021 now
I know it'll never happen, but I'm super curious what the Lolla lineup was going to be this year.
Man that partial lineup is making me want to get back to Primavera Sound next year
Whatever happened to Primavera LA? I know it's not happening because of Rona, but that was silent for a long time before all this happened.
This thread depressing af :(
