This is honestly a damn good lineup. Stepping into a Time Machine to go to the GOAT era of indie rock.
Would love a similar lineup for Shaky Knees, but I wonder if they plan to scale up with move to Piedmont?
Reading and Leeds - woof that has started going down hill Kilby looks a lot of fun, debating a trip to SLC
I will be there for Friday, not sure about the thursday night show. Sunday looks fun too, but I can't swing it.
Seems like the festival industry is in a weird space right now. Post covid- all the big festivals got right back to it with big crowds I believe. People were hungry for live music. Others saw that and a bunch more festivals were created. Some may have seen early success but it seems like the majority of festivals are struggling now. Even long time, big name promoters/events. Live music as a whole has followed right along with inflation I think. Insane prices out there. Has the bubble begun to pop? Will it crash soon?
Every time I go to sprouts there is a new brand of them on the shelves. My wife likes an Olli Pop every once in a while. There used to be three brands on this corner, now there are like 16
Going to Electric Forest this year (first time, even though I live in Michigan), Burning Man, and thinking about M3F because I’m in AZ for the next 3 months. If anyone wants Coachella VIP tickets for weekend 1, I’m trying to sell 3 of them and will do so below what I paid for them. I just don’t think I’m going to be able to go this year.
Finally decided on and got tickets to Kilby. First time to visit UT. Will be sort of my 50th birthday party even though it’s a week after it. Hoping the logistics of leaving at night to get back to the hotel aren’t too bad. I much prefer the hotel within walking distance or walking back to a campsite.
I need to go to it. It’s always such a good lineup. The different venues festival kinda throws me off though.
Levitation Fest in the fall is across a bunch of venues on Red River/East Austin. Levitation also promotes and puts on Austin Psyche Fest Yes, it's complicated.
