That’s the toughest group IMO. I could see any of them finishing 2nd to Real

 

who would have thought that this would be a tough group when shakhtar came from pot 2.

Shakhtar are by far the worst team in pot 2. The only one that is even in the same stratosphere as them are ajax.

 

I’m just pointing out they did well in Europe last season. They advanced further than plenty of others in Pot 2

I get that but in both instances both remaining clubs were from the same country, City & United first and then later Inter and Lazio. In both cases the first team was assigned a group rather than drawing one of the final 2 groups randomly. Any TV restriction would be moot as they’re both from the same association.

Are you sure that happened? I remember United being drawn and then group H being drawn. I wasn’t paying close enough attention to the Inter/Lazio draw.

 

It was answered above but yes, they drew United and then instantly assigned them to H apparently to keep them on separate matchdays from Liverpool which seems fucking stupid. I assume it happened again to keep Inter and Juve on separate days as well.

 

They do the same with Real and Barca
