I remember the last time I watched Minnesota on a Friday night.
Posting to laugh/cry at later
Probably the worst I've felt leaving a game in my life was after this game, and there is some strong competition for that spot. Was probably the best Gopher team of my lifetime until last season's team, and two bad quarters (4th quarter against Michigan, and then the 1st quarter against Michigan St. the following week) sunk any chance of being a Big Ten champion.
Wasn’t that game on a Friday because they thought the Twins would get to the ALCS...and then they didn’t and it could’ve been played on a Saturday anyway?
All I remember about that game besides the final score/comeback was Barber, Maroney and Abdul-Khaliq each rushing for 100 yards. I got absolutely hammered watching them tear us up on the ground.
It was definitely Twins related.
I got blackout drunk for that game. It’s the only reason I can still be a Gophers fan because remembering full details would have turned me away.
So drunk that night...whew
What am I missing?
A lot of Covid Deniers think she is woke, or a SJW, or rooting for the cancellation of football.
#Nebraska Cornhuskers is Omar Manning expected to play or what exactly is going on there?
You know as much as the rest of us. Knowing our luck he’s more than likely gone
Probably transferring to some place in Florida if recent history tells us anything
Meh. Don’t throw stuff like this out, claim you’re “just reporting the facts”, and then block comments because you can’t handle the blowback.
Eh, I thought the mouth breathers piling on her was ridiculous. To imply that people whose job requires college football to happen are hoping that it does not happen is stupid. Full stop. That those people may want and think we need better caution and transparency when putting on a college football season is completely reasonable, even if you want to watch college football so badly that you don't care about the consequences.
What is this supposed to show?
I was actually wondering where the gotcha was in any of those tweets
That tweet was in the middle of her “football ain’t happening and you’re an idiot if you think it is or think they should attempt it” campaign.
Listen, I don’t have an issue if that’s how you feel. It’s how some of these reporters went about. You’re going to spend a month talking down to anyone with a differing opinion, and the when it becomes obvious a season is going to happen you completely stop talking about the issue and tell everyone how excited you are to be covering football?
What she said in that tweet was 100% accurate and obvious to anyone with a brain who was following the story.
That bitch should have kept her damned mouth shut.
Women have no place questioning Ohio State football.
Anyone with a brain who was following the story should know that tweet wasn’t made in a vacuum.
That’s one hell of a straw man.
I still want transparency.
If my life were reduced to taking Ws for semi “gotcha-ing” low level sports reporters I’d be a sad person
Man, when Ohio State fans say they are "SEC" they really go whole hog with it.
Thread sucks. Please fast forward to next Saturday. Thanks.
You’d probably also be from Ohio
Agreed. It would be much better without Ohio State posters posting bad twitter takes.
I mean I did say “thread sucks”.
Suck our dicks.
Update from just now:
Frost said when Omar Manning has been on the field he’s “looked good,” but added that “health things” have kept him in and out of practice this fall. “We need him out there consistently to help us the way we need him to.”
When asked if he expected Omar Manning to be available for Week 1 at Ohio State, Frost said, “I hope so.”
Seems like he has been having some mental health issues lately. Some have speculated he may be opting out of this year, but nothing confirmed there yet. Who knows. Not expecting anything at this point since we can’t have nice things.
These are certainly unprecedented times. Never thought I’d see the day where osu maga chuds got all fired up about a football writer who:
Is a Michigan alum
Didn’t call for football to be played as normal during a global pandemic
Please stand by while I retrieve my jaw from the floor.
That some dork runs a Twitter account called “Nebrasketball” that has no affiliation with the athletic department. We have so many generic Husker named Twitter users that just compile/parrot news from actual news sources and pretend to be insiders and I hate them so much.
Not sure if that account does that, I won’t be clicking on them and have never seen them tweet, I just wanted to complain.
CHUDS !!! LOL!!!!
Not your best work, Ed. Can you give us some of that zany iambic pentameter you’re so known for?
I’m sorry, it’s clearly my fault.
Let’s get this back on track by revisiting our favorite three B1G regular season games from the last decade. I’ll start:
1. 2016 vs Michigan
2. 2017 vs PSU
3. 2014 vs MSU
Nicole will fuck the poster who defends her most honorably.
liked for iambic pentameter
None of those links seem to be working
Did you know that James A. Garfield invented iambic pentameter in Clyde, Ohio in 1914?
Yes - I strictly defend women as a means to try to have sex with them. What else are women good for anyway. Good point.
I hate women because I slightly disagree with their stance on a single issue. Excellent point.
This makes the thread worse and you should feel bad.
Tiffin, Ohio is home of Leigh Tiffin the kicker and Tiffin the bad poster and in Tiffin, OH they made bowler hats until they went out of style in 1974. The bowler hat was named after professional bowler Jim Boler who is also the namesake for Boler College of Business at John Carroll University in University Heights Ohio and Boler's garage in Springfield Ohio.
For the record, I’ve never heard of Nicole and I don’t know what her stances are on pretty much anything. I think I’ve been on record in this thread though that football is an outdated, barbaric sport and should be outlawed irrespective of COVID. Basketball is a much more civilized game.
