Little brother syndrome...they'd see it as getting even with WVU or some bullshit
No clue. But WV Gov are always meddling in our coaching hires, but not sure why they'd want Doc out
all the south Florida kids with major issues!!!!!
Losing to Rice has consequences.
Jesus Christ who's grits did this man shit in
congrats #Alabama Crimson Tide
Nick is really stepping up his shitty HC rehab program. Getting a little too cocky
Its over you guys...it was a fun 14 years while it lasted
goddamnit. Grimes is badass
nick saban is icarus
I used to root against Bama because it's not fun seeing one program dominate every year, but I just kind of respect them now and don't care either way.
I'll be annoyed if Gase goes to Bama and turns coaching all that talent into a major CFB gig for big money, though. That guy has already had at least one second chance he didn't deserve, and CFB needs to start giving new guys opportunities.
turns that second chance into the michigan job
I remember folks laughing at the Sark hire too
I don't know why you constantly post things that hurt me, but I wish you would stop.
I laughed at this and still don’t think highly of gase but he was a student assistant at Michigan state under saban and a grad assistant under him at LSU. The hire at least makes a bit more sense in that context.
trusting him to develop Bryce young though seems like a poor choice but who am I to question god himself.
It was weird how people just acted like the Dolphins issues weren't Gase's fault....
Saban won national titles with people who were complete flops in other OC or HC jobs with McElwain, Nussmeier and Kiffin. Is Gase worse than any of those guys? Especially with Saban actually embracing offense now compared to when those guys were around?
i don’t really think lane is as bad as the other two
if nothing else, he’s a great offensive coordinator
I was surprised to see Lane included and not Locksley.
thats true but at least for nussmeier and mcelwain, those bama teams were built on defense. Bama has a solid defense but the current iteration of bama is offense first and the offense needs to be built around a mobile QB. Gase definitely isn’t as bad as nussmeier though.
This would be amazing
For fun lets say Harbaugh and Mullen get pulled to the NFL, who do Michigan and Florida end up with?
I swear to God I'm about to take a ride up to Flowery Branch and have some words with whoever the fuck might actually be there right now.
Campbell and Fickell both make a ton of sense for Michigan, though I have zero clue if either guy would take the job.
as an ND fan i’d be more afraid of Fickell than Campbell, IMO
I'd have to imagine Florida should have their pick of coaches and is attractive enough to be able to poach from P5 schools, even though they are spending top dollar on coaches these days.
In the scenario where Harbaugh leaves, I don't see any way Fickell would have interest in UM, and I hope UM doesn't have interest in him.
Campbell would be the clear favorite, almost by default, because he's the easiest guy to sell at the press conference.
Just because of the OSU connection, or is there something else?
Fickell or Campbell would have to insist that UM make more online classes available to athletes. Only way to even the playing field iyam
Fickell is from Columbus, played at OSU, and then coached there from 02-16. I just can't imagine him wanting the job.
I don't want Fickell because of all the things I just mentioned and just don't want to cheer for him as the coach of my team.
The timeline isn't ideal but regardless I'm not even sure who we'd target from a P5 school outside of Kiffin or maybe like PJ Fleck. Outside the P5 you'd probably make a run at Napier or Fickell. Obviously there's Campbell but I'm not sure he'd even want to deal with the SEC.
hoke to uf
mcelwain to michigan
Looks like Lebby is about to be your OC...
Just posted that in another thread. Great hire from a football standpoint. Bad hire from a "he was told of a player beating the shit of a woman and did nothing" standpoint
Kiffin calls the plays right?
Campbell at Mich
During the Bama game they said Lebby was calling the plays
Clemson's OL doesn't seem to produce many dudes with NFL hype. Seems like Dabo should move on from Robbie Caldwell. Although he's such a country bumpkin he is probably a huge favorite of Dabo's
Lebby did most of it, supposedly.
He's an excellent OC, either way.
He needs to slide into an admin/recruiting/high school outreach role and away from game day coaching
