sc_chant Big Ern McCracken
Guy must really love Ames, Iowa.
still in a major conference so he’ll go to the playoff if they’re really good, paid very well, lower expectations, and he’s like jesus to them and has full control over that program
That stuff makes sense to normal people, but most football coaches are wired different. I’m surprised he hasn’t bolted, but maybe he’s the exception.
O’Leary? Notre Dame? They better check that resume close. Been down that road.
Oh my gosh those poor Montana St fans
Really good day to be a Wyoming fan. As if there's ever a bad day
starting to think one of ND or Ohio state (or maybe both) is the dream job and he will only leave what he views as a comfortable job for one of those. The HC version of venables
I think Michigan or PSU would make him leave. Have heard he had some contract language around certain jobs but that was a contract or so ago.
or the NFL
What’s the story there?
Seems stuck in the 1920s. Run game will be solid but he wasn't able to develop any kind of consistent passing game at WYO except in 2016 when they were loaded. Terrible QB developer
And Bohl wasn't gonna fire him to save his life
KC RB coach Deland McCullough to join the IU staff as associate HC and RB coach
WYO hired Iowa OL coach Tim Polasek to replace Vigen as OC/QB Coach. Had been at NDSU prior to Iowa, so Bohl is not really branching out too much
#Alabama Crimson Tide
he will kill it in recruiting
He was well thought of while at UGA
#Oregon Ducks why did Ryan bartow leave Oregon?
Probably a promotion at Cuse?
Looks like he scouted for a year or two before syracuse and it's the same title.
Oh well probably got processed by Mario. Idk he seems like a grimy dude
I told them to get rid of him
He used to pay kids for scoops
twas the rumor and why he was basically booted from “the industry”
didnt he have an affinity for cocaine
Tis the rumor
Tom Loy told us no
Well this sucks.
We really can't have nice things
Was always going to be a one or two year rental. Dude is just too good of a recruiter and has a ton of potential.
Obviously lasting only a few weeks is not optimal...and we can’t expect his replacement to be even close to as good of a recruiter.
Hopefully he does a good job for Gus and we bring him home in a few years.
I really don't remember Ron Zook leading Illinois to the Rose Bowl
They beat two top 5 teams that year including #1 OSU at the horseshoe. Only 9-3 in the regular season tho and then got curb stomped by Sanchez/Mauluga/Cushing/Matthews USC team in the Rose Bowl. That was the craziest CFB season in decades.
Ahhh yeah I definitely remember that game now lol. Regis Benn was in his first year
Yeah, that was a fun one.
247 has a story up on assistants who will soon be head coaches
Marcello led off with Gattis
Bill O'Brien listed
Would be pretty pissed if Saban's rehab program gets BOB a college HC job
I don't know that he wants one. Despite doing a pretty good job at it here, considering the shitstorm he had to deal with, it was pretty well-known that he didn't like recruiting and having to kiss ass on the trail.
I saw somewhere Blake Anderson is engaged already and I don't judge how people deal with stuff like that but boy that was fast
Yea was weird how the cfb media shielded that going on. Cited the need to move on from ArkState due to personal reasons not related to the prior situation.
Is quick, but it's been 1.5 years right?
You might be right, thought it was under a year but regardless good for him
Yeah, looks like it was in August of 2019. Fairly quick, but not necessarily crazily so.
Wow manny stealing Jimbo’s sofla bag man
good for him tho
he’s a stud
Guess we’ll have to finally rely on James Coley to do something if we want in SoFla now
