Texas at 17 seems generous
BYU at 14
Oregon at 15
Committee shitting on the west coast
Cincy at 7
Not sure how you explain that disparity between them and BYU
Punishment for ducking Washington
Wouldn't really mind if a&m ends up being the first team out
Wisconsin still in the top 20 is a joke that team is hot garbage
Option A: Beat Clemson twice, Beat Ohio St, beat Bama
Option B: lose to Clemson, Beat Bama, Beat Clemson in round 3
lol lolololol fuck this shit is hopeless
Michigan’s Ot road win in Piscataway is seriously being undervalued, shit’s rigged af
If Florida beats Bama in Atlanta, Notre Dame is out if they don’t beat Clemson.
that would be pretty ridiculous, unless it’s a blowout.
If that happens and the rest is chalk, we're looking at Ohio State, Florida, Clemson, and then an argument between Bama and Notre Dame.
You're right, ND would be rightfully left out.
You're not getting the benefit of the doubt against Alabama
Lol BYU coach refuses to say why they won’t play UW. If he had a reason he would state it on the biggest stage.
I truly doubt 9-1 Texas A&M would get in over 11-1 Clemson or 11-1 ND if they split
they need ND to beat Clemson again
even then there is still the Oregon/USC and Cincy scenarios to consider
BYU is a top 5 team in my eyes but they’ll never get the chance to prove it.
They honestly have the perfect excuse of saying they need a full guarantee the Pac 12 won’t fuck them if they started to get everything ready
i am not talking about bama, florida would have a worse loss than Nd against am and a slightly better win. It would make no sense.
but it would probably happen...
It would probably come down to a best resume vs most recent loss discussion. It would be an absolute travesty for them to backdoor in. My money would be on it happening because people are dumb.
I totally read this as BYU playing UW. Long night
But this is why BYU didn't commit to this game. Because they would have spent a lot of money to be just told no
the haters are out tonight folks!
*we’ll lose another game probably*
The article I’d read, which actually detailed everything quite succinctly, was that this was a stunt from the PAC to make BYU look bad, in order to push the argument for UO being ahead of them. This isn’t the exact one, but highlights a lot of what’s going on.
Oh 100%. It’s exactly what they did. Then they dragged BYU name through the mud. Especially former SI Stewart Mandel.
BYU wanted 100% confirmation on the game and the Pac 12 couldn’t do it because according to their Covid rules, they can change a game until Thursday. It didn’t make financial sense for BYU to make the arrangements knowing the Pac 12 would do it.
ATM would not be let in. The committee isn’t stupid
I think they are in if they win out, bama wins out and either ND wins again against Clemson or Clemson wins big. I think its pretty possible, but not THAT likely. Of course Ohio State losing to
im not even gonna bother finishing that sentence
not if you dont play any
Would you put an 8-1 A&M that didn’t win their division in the playoffs over 7-0 PAC 12 Champ Oregon with only two ranked wins (UW & Southern Cal)?
would sort of depend on how oregon starts winning their games and how aTm does. Id say odds are that Oregon is in when they win out but i dont think its a certainty. Also not convinced that oregon will in fact win out
USF going full lime green
and to think that #Ohio State Buckeyes was just about to have a black head coach on the sidelines
Osu tried to sneak one past everybody, kind of pathetic
i love burritos
This will delay the season. Not even worried
2 Notre Dame
4 Ohio State
Playing the Fighting Reece Davis’s in the Rose Bowl would be something else
Chipotle for dinner.
The outbreak concern is COVID, not E. coli, but the commitment is appreciated.
Notre Dame has lost to Northwestern in 2 of their last 3 meetings.
Notre Dame hasn't beaten Ohio State in 84 years.
That seems like that would be a bad grouping for the Irish.
The 1936 game has a lot of impact on this potential matchup, agreed.
Northwestern would be lucky to score more than 3
so Oregon lost last night, wild
Yea seems like no one is talking about it.
With them starting at 15 in the initial Playoff rankings, it was an uphill battle anyway.
