i think it would be easier for me to identify jim brown, fred taylor, steven jackson, frank gore, and barry sanders earlier than a waiver wire pickup i was thinking more along the lines of david johnson
Got offered Mark Ingram in exchange for Aaron Rodgers in my big money league. I’ve got Russell Wilson as my QB1 and only took Rodgers in like the 11th round strictly for trade bait. After losing Barkley for the season and Mostert for this week, I’m extremely tempted. I’m having to start Jeff Wilson this week as my RB2 and I could use a flex option better than AJ Green rn once Mostert returns. Super competitive league. I also lost Courtland Sutton on this team. Currently in 4th place. James Conner is my other starting RB so I’m desperate for another RB option. Have to do it right? Only RB’s on waivers are Tevin Coleman (out for a while), Tony Pollard, Chris Thompson. It’s a wasteland
I feel like you could get someone better than that for Rodgers but hard to say since i dont know your leaguemates. Is there anyone else in your league that needs a QB and can throw out offers? Otherwise I understand the immediate need. Just feel like they're taking advantage of your desperate need.
yeah, i have dobbins and it feels like a waste of a roster spot for at least like 5 more games most likely
dobbins isn't a bad to have at all. really no one in that backfield is bad to have on the roster. they've just been splitting touches in a way that i wouldn't trade someone like aaron rodgers away for in week 3
ow im not dropping him, hell see games in my team in the 2nd half of the season, but im currently playing robinson, drake and dalvin cook over him and dont see that changing unless one of them falls
i want mo alie-cox to be a baller so badly. i don't think i've seen a bigger pass catcher in the 20 years i've been watching the nfl
I traded my David Montgomery for his JuJu. He’s stacked at WR (Thomas, Hopkins, Edelman, JuJu), I’m pretty deep at RB (Zeke, Gurley, JRob, Montgomery)....hope this turns my 0-2 team around
Rolled the dice on Gesicki, hard to be upset with him at least getting the TD on his 1 catch but man was expecting another big game. Felt like he got fouled on every other target almost.
yeah, bit bummed by his output but my team should survive (hopefully) Still need to start 2 out of julio, godwin, DJ Moore and Juju. Im leaning Godwin and julio if the messages about health for julio are good and otherwise DJ Moore
That was my dream with Dak as my backup QB but it seems no one in my league needs a damn QB, there are too many good ones, hell Allen is the #2 ranked QB right now. What other QB are available for Wilson’s week6 bye? Maybe Cousins vs ATL? Can you counter for a slightly better RB? I feel like that’s going to be a tough trade to work out and you’ll probably just have to accept Ingram. Worth scouring all rosters again to see if better opportunity though.
Not sure what year, but I remember taking Shaun Alexander #1 and had this sweet Brian Westbrook/Donovan McNabb stack.
agreed. Taylor runs behind a better OL, is better himself, probably a more potent offense and for sure has less risk of losing his job
Originally we didn't have a waiver wire. First person to call the commissioner as soon as Monday night football ended got first choice of non-rostered players
I do remember the first time I won the league. 2010. Josh Freeman threw 5 TDs in the Championship game. EMAW
There also wasn't a reliable way to get stats immediately. Honestly it was a miracle if the paper told you everything the next day in their game summaries
I just remember watching nfl primetime so I could see the stats of my players before we got live updates
One of my leagues is named Final Fantasy Showdown XXI, so it must have been 1999. I won 3 of the first 4 years and haven’t won since.
Well the sleeper app said both Adams and Julio aren’t looking good for this weekend. That said - need 1WR and 1 Flex Jeudy TreQuan Smith Dobbins Swift Hockenstien
Started in 1991 when I was 13 years old. My stepdad brought me into his work buddies league. We had a draft before the season started then held a second “free agent” pickup draft around week 4. We called each other every weekend to declare our starting lineups, then used newspaper box scores to record scores. Watched Primetime of course- the best part of my Sunday’s. We didn’t give points for yards, TD points only. In 1994 I took over as commish and convinced them to add scoring for yards. I still have those original notebooks stashed away somewhere I’ll dig one out... interested to see that first roster again.
I’ve got both Robby Anderson and James Robinson on my bench. What is the trade value of these guys? Dude who wants them has Kelce/Tyreek/Lamar Jackson.
This is his proposal to me. My bench is probably too deep to take on that many players anyway. I’ve got Corey Davis and Myles Gaskin as my next WR/RB on my bench.
Don’t remember the first year, but I was 11-12 when I played fantasy baseball and football on sandbox and then Yahoo. Pretty sure they were all salary cap leagues. So 96 or 97.
I’m in a league with the same guys we have had since 2000. It’s a 10 member league and we still have 8 original members. We haven’t added a new member since 2004.
I’d take the four except Trequan and drop Gaskin and Davis or trade them back to him. To me, Slayton > Davis and Henderson > Gaskin.
Glad to hear you guys are excited about it because I guess I’m a stasher and wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep those guys on my bench. RB’s are currently Sanders and Jacobs WR’s are Davante Adams/Thielan/Kupp Bench RB’s are James Robinson/Gaskin/Boston Scott handcuff/Mattison Bench WR’s are Robby Anderson/Corey Davis
