Lando says March but it would be great if Netflix bumped it up. Regardless I know I'll binge it all in like 2 days then just want more.
No thanks, but it might be cool if they still had the standard championship and some other late season playoff format incentive. Would probably take some new sponsor to cut a massive check like FedEx does for the PGA Tour. On second thought FedEx is everything that is wrong with the PGA Tour so scratch that.
The TV networks that distribute the PGA Tour product are what's wrong there but that's a discussion for a different thread.
Great video Merc just posted. Always fascinating to be reminded just how important every little tiny piece of aero is for the cars and how it's different for this upcoming year.
Next year is going to be crazy between the new car, regulations, and so many drivers not under contract.
OT but found this video and it's such a great view of what it's like to be a driver. It still blows my mind how much concentration and discipline it must take to drive like this.
Pardon me if I call bullshit on this. Not a Grosjean fan, but this doesn't even make sense. https://www.thedrive.com/accelerato...rship-out-of-fear-of-facing-widow-or-his-kids
Gene Haas: "I can't support him because I fear for his life" Also Gene Haas: Hire a psychotic egghead looking asshole that nearly killed people in F2....all for the $$$
Now this I like https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/155315/alpine-a521-f1-car-unveiled-following-winter-rebrand
I bet that red Ineos bit gets toned down when the real car comes out too. They always exaggerate that shit on launches
I'm guessing most in here know of Will Buxton. He's got a YouTube channel that's been my saving grace this off season to keep up with any/all F1 news. Anyway, his video today is especially interesting in that he talks about the qualifying process and potential switch to including sprint races. Basically, I'm just giving him a plug that you should subscribe to his channel if you don't already.
Before ESPN got the tv rights NBC had a US broadcast that Buxton was the paddock reporter for. He was really good.
Expected better. They've never had shame in just ripping of Merc. Now they're like...what if we just use the same colors?
Aston Martin or McLaren probably has as much claim as America's team with Americans running the show there. Haas getting in bed with rapey Russian oligarchs wipes out much of the American dna they supposedly have.
And everyone involved with mclaren is just generally awesome was sad to see Carlos leave but replacing him with Daniel is legit
If Haas blows goats again and Mazepin is wrecking people left and right I’m becoming a McLaren fan. Zak Brown as principal (‘Merica) and Danny Ric will be my excuse for being a bandwagon fan.
Haas is going to stink this year. They’ve more or less already accepted that internally, and announced it to the world. They’re spending all their time on 2022 (which I think is wise) and just letting the rookies get vital experience to take into next season. They won’t be the only ones taking this method, so I respect them for at least being honest about it.
They have already acknowledged that they are punting on development of the 2021 car in hopes of getting ready for the new 2022 spec. If the Ferrari engine is a weak again they will certainly come in last place. Williams has a Mercedes engine, Russell, and a deeper pockets now with the new ownership.
Yeah I know they’re only working on the ‘22 car I’m actually anticipating a season similar to Williams’ last season. I’m more disturbed by the Mazepin addition although I understand the realities of the sport. If he’s wrecking people and generally dangerous I’m out.
I've got what looks to be another promising F1 related YouTube channel follow for those who can't get enough of everything F1 like me. This guy is apparently an official photographer for F1 and boy it does not look like his job/life sucks. Jetting around to every race in first/business class. Staying in suites... Anyway, thought I'd share as we get closer to the season!!
Preseason testing is live now. It's in the middle of a damn sandstorm. Looks like they are off roading
