I’d guess that he has it together in meetings and just can’t physically pull it off on the field. I’m not going to pretend for a second that I’m an expert on Spag’s schemes or his reasoning. I think we get the newer guys on the field more and more as we get deeper into the year.
Being a linebacker in Spagnuolo's system is incredibly difficult and Willie was very raw coming out of the draft. He needed the OTA's and fake games that didn't happen this year. He's getting snaps with time though, so that's a good sign.
At the very least he’ll convert some of those goal line carries Clyde has had trouble with early on and be a useful pass catcher out of the backfield.
Good win last night, Chiefs. People who know more about offensive line play than me are saying good things about Nick Allegreti last night, which is good to see. I'm not saying John Ross will or should be the guy, but I think we'll see the Chiefs rightfully take a shot on a cheap post-hype WR or two in the next 1-2 years.
I wouldn't give the Bengals a sack of dicks for John Ross. Sammy already fits the brokedick receiver bill.
I know at least half of this thread would agree with me when I say... Fuck drew lock. He looks good, wish he went to KU but he didn't, so fuck him
Nsiap it’s been some kind of a week. Imagine getting danced on right in your face like this in the middle of a game by THE ENTIRE DEFENSE.
I’d wager to say that Dirty Dan might be in the lineup because being out of position comes in handy when opposing QBs are heaving up prayers under pressure and under throw the ball.
Pat was so good in this game. Nothing gaudy like we've seen from him in the past but he was just making play after play. Nothing particularly easy with the offensive line he had but didn't matter
Just put Pat at safety I fucking love him so much. So, so, so much. He is my favorite athlete of all time and it's not close.
Definitely. A turnover and going super conservative made the game close when it should have been over by the half.
Kent was having himself a day on Twitter. The inability to cover gronk like 3 times and a blown coverage/missed tackle on the Jones TD were the killers. Stupid RTP penalties too.
Every one of our big ticket defenders has been a disappointment this year, in addition to our usual disappointments.
Only time you know he’s on the field is when he’s getting called for a penalty. Not much of a pass rush all year except for when Spags brings the house.
Yeah, I think it's the problem with the Chiefs this year. Would be a slam dunk SB repeat if they had any rush with the front 4. DE needs to be a priority in the draft.
OL has struggled too. Schwartz even sucked before he got hurt. We are locked in to the DL contracts, plus Pat is Pat, so I'd invest more picks into OL than DL this year.
I also hated the FG attempt instead of going for it on the first drive but that is just nitpicking at this point
The Chiefs are clicking on Offense with a bunch of scrubs on the OL while the Defense is getting rocked. Andy is good at finding some OL gems. I can't say that I agree the OL should be prioritized over DE. Fisher and Schwartz are around for at least another year and Fisher will likely get extended. Remmers has been ok replacing Schwartz and just drafted a tackle that will be well rested in 2021. Allegretti has been fine at LG and we're stuck with Ldt for now. Could use an upgrade at Center, but that can be done with a Day 3 draft pick. Opposite of Clark is a parade of butt. They can eject from the Clark deal after 2021. Even if he rebounds, they need someone who isn't bad or broken on the other side. Spagnuolo's scheme is shit without the front 4 getting pressure.
447 yards on Sunday, at 7.1 yards per play seems to be solid. Red zone offense needs to kick it in to gear, but we're moving the ball fine
He's taken a low amount of sacks. I'm not saying the line is amazing, but it's not bad. They need to really just shoot Wylie out of a fucking cannon.
Rankin and Wisniewski better be in that IOL lineup ASAP. I’d prefer it happen this week vs the dolphins.
Sometimes I think about this single hour in history and weep internally thinking about what could have been.
Big fan of the Landlord we’ve seen the last two weeks. Sneed, too. Not a big fan of Dirty Dan and Ben Neiman still being on this team at all. Finally using Clyde correctly. Bell had a good day too. Imagine if Pat got back just one int and that 30-yard sack. 45-20 or so. Hill and kelce were already mostly unstoppable. Big game Sammy showing up and getting the ball out quickly to Clyde just makes it unfair. Sprinkle in a dash of Mecole and some hard running and you’ve got a recipe for 40/game. Sucks that one rough quarter probably lost Patrick his second MVP. Steelers are losers. This is going to be a fun 2 months.
Ben Neiman sucks a giant bag of dicks. Can't cover, can't fill a gap, can't rush a hobbled Tua. Fuck he sucks.
Yeah idk who looked at that pasty twig of a man and thought “Boy, he’d make one hell of an NFL middle linebacker. This kid has Ray Lewis written all over him!”
Overall, I'll take the wins however they come. A lot of people (not here, but in general) are bitching and well before Pat these kinds of games would be a loss 90% of the time.
Same. A 14-2 or 15-1 record in the stronger conference I don’t understand how he doesn’t unless he turns it over a bunch
Agreed. Which he won’t. After today Pat has 31 combined TDs and 5 INTs on a 12-1 team. Rodgers has 34 combined TDs and 4 INTs on a 10-3 team. Pat also has a couple hundred more yards passing and 0 fumbles lost to Rodgers’ 2. It’s closer now, obviously, but Pat isn’t going to throw many picks and I doubt we lose again. The stats will end up close but the 15-1 record should give Mahomes the edge over Rodgers at 13-3.
