I can confirm this is a lie
#Florida Gators are you guys really going to take Evans?
Yes. Next question.
Ive been assured by my dawg friends his issues were over exaggerations and he is a fine young man
And no i don’t expect Pruitt or kiffin to lose out on a RB recruit to Greg Knox
Would be a fireable offense if they did
But could they lose out on an RB recruit to Tim Brewster?
Please respect his decision.
And for the love of everything holy, no interviews.
Reeks of desperation.
Shut the fuck up.
I've maintained from the beginning that taking Evans is absolutely not worth it, and only a desperate coach/program would consider such a thing.
I will keep the Gator locker room in my prayers
for the record I was in agreement with you the whole time secretly
I'm since changed my mind after giving more thought to the situation where he took the college entrance exam.
In no world is Greg Knox beating out kiffin and Pruitt so I’m still on board with you buddy!
Lotta fluid situations happening over the last few pages. Might need a towel.
Gibbons going to have to talk himself into not hating Evans
And you will have to talk yourself into hating him
Quite a conundrum we have here old buddy
Why will I have to talk myself into hating him?
Evans is completely worth the risk, since none of us have to actually deal with his BS. He’s the most talented back in years. Hope he ends up at Ole Miss, so we don’t have to face him.
People said Najee was “generational,” and while he’s been good generational was a bit of an overstatement.
Adrian Peterson, Saquon, Derrick Henry are generational.
Seems like every year the industry is pumping someone as the best ever when they said the same thing the year before. His highlights are ok, but I don’t get all the fuss
Ever since Rivals hyped up Jimmy Clausen as a once every 10 years type prospect I definitely have ignored the hype when they call someone generational.
Najee was overrated, but is obviously still very good. He just isn’t fast enough to run as tall as he does (like Gurley without the burst).
Evans has Kamara level burst with incredible change of direction (his short shuttle time is elite by NFL standards). He’s patient behind his blocks, is a nightmare for second level guys in the open field, and gets to top speed fast enough for DBs to take bad angles on him to the sideline. His main negative, is that he likes to reverse field too often.
Zeke and McCaffrey were both better than Henry in college
Yeah I’m sorry but that’s insane talk
Because in your scenario he will be playing for the Florida Gators
Yeah - nah
Not really. Pretty sure that most Georgia fans were of the opinion that “he’s an asshole, but he’s our asshole.” Now that he’s not ours, he’s just an asshole. Dilemma solved.
lol at Henry being generational
400 carries and the best OL in cfb...and he still had a lower YPC than every RB I’d actually call generational. He’s akin to thinking Emmitt is the best rb in nfl history.
All he does is fall forward guys.
Perhaps on the private board
I’m not arguing he was generational in college. I’m arguing about someone saying definitively that both CMC and Zeke were better in college.
but I do enjoy the Henry fell forward approach to your argument. Thrasher would be proud.
I’m not saying he wasn’t elite...and I’m not saying McCafferty or Zeke were flat out better either...my issue was with the term “generational”. So I guess my real issue was with Whammy putting him in the same discussion as AP - who actually deserved that title.
Gator fans just still embarrassed that they thought Henry was a LB.
Dalvin was better than all of em
Bama fans still convinced that every backup RB on their roster is the next Peterson.
“They” didn’t think that. Will Muschamp did.
Which brings us back to what this thread should really be about: remembering that Kirby Smart lost at home to this same Muschamp and a 3rd string QB.
After watching Henry will his college team to NC and will Ryan Tannehill to within a hair’s breadth of the Super Bowl, the denial in this thread is astounding
He had 69 yards (nice) in that loss to the superbowl championship Chiefs. He looked pretty pedestrian in that game.
Thought we was talkin jus collegiately
I still think Evans is awesome and wish we were taking him. I also haven’t read a single thing that he’s done that I think is worth any hand wringing.
Won’t find an argument from us that he is/was a moron
Do you think I hate your players or something?
Throwing this name out there since we are semi on topic...
CJ Spiller, generational talent or no?
I could not get over the possibility of him with Tebow & Percy being crushed by fuckin Clemson.
This is the year he’s transferring to UF. Heard he already submitted his paperwork.
you like our players?
