The silver lining of the Packers getting killed on the road is that a good team coming off a road loss usually over-performs the next week on the road. Which is great because I want the Texans to lose.
All the bullshit commercials and pre game music video shit we do before football games gotta be one of my least favorite things in the world ever
I have it on VERY good authority from a WELL-connected source that the #New York Jets will have an announcement very soon. Spoiler
The unis tonight are no comparison. Clean white on white with gold helmets for the 9ers. Whatever the fuck the Rams are wearing. It's embarrassing for LA.
It's officially Tua Time in Miami: Surprising but kinda not considering we didn't convert a single 3rd down this week until Tua came in in garbage time
That'll make Miami games pretty fun to watch. I thin the timing is bizarre, though. In the last couple of weeks, both Flores himself and Miami reporters (specifically Kelly) had mentioned how Fitzpatrick was outperforming Tua in practices, etc. Even ignoring how Miami and Fitzpatrick have played this year (both above average), that seems strange unless stuff has really clicked the last couple of weeks.
I don't have any sort of insight on the practices but I like to think that the fact that Flores was currently under the least pressure to play Tua for the year that it means he just thinks Tua is ready. The first few weeks Dolphins Twitter was clamoring for Tua and that subsided a lot the last few weeks.
The Tua thing feels like they had this planned in advance to have him start after the bye and are just sticking to the plan. Because otherwise the timing doesn’t make sense. Dolphins have won 2 in a row, 3 out of 4, and are 1 game out of first with Fitzpatrick in. Although I guess if they think they are better with Tua, their position in the standings is a reason to make the move and try to get into first.
