Thats not what i mean. whats the biggest te contract out there?
its not as important a position as OT, QB, CB, DE or DT
As flawed as these lists are, I like that they have a bunch of different players at different positions vote. That way it isn't just a who's most valuable to winning like you might get from scouts, coaches, gm's. It's just who's the best players that different guys have to play against.
Hunter Henry and Austin Hooper are 1-2 at ~$10,500,000
In all fairness, Damien Williams should’ve been SB MVP
Just another thing the NFL is holding against RBs
am I rite?
It’s a gosh dang travesty!
Week three he's going to be counting to four.
Mahomes, Donald, Wilson, Jackson, Thomas
I'm honestly most bothered by how overrated Kittle is. He's a very good TE, top 1 or 2 in the game, but those trying to say a TE is a top 10 player in the game with a whopping career high of 5 TD catches in a season, is insanity
its because he is the best blocking TE in the game as well
and not just a flex WR like Kelce/Ertz
He's not so good that he's a top 10 player in the game. That's my point.
He’s the #1 key player in an offense that made it to the Super Bowl
maybe don’t take a list too seriously
Lol. God forbid I share an opinion on a message board.
Let bro be the tone police. George Kittle is not a top 10 player in the NFL. Travis Kelce was the 2nd receiver on the Chiefs and put up better stats than Kittle. If blocking mattered so much Quenton Nelson would be top 15
TD turned down trade offers for him in 2018 to keep him in Atlanta. I just wanted to point that out.
I would say Kelce is the #1 WR in the Chiefs offense and one of the main reasons why Hill gets so wide open
also blocking should be very important for a TE since it is 50% of their job
Kittle is probably a 9/10 as a pass catching TE, but he's a 10/10 as a blocker. He's also one of the best if not best athlete on the field anytime he plays. I wouldn't argue over Kelce being a better a pass catcher, but it's close
Kittle's ability to take on DEs in the running game is something no one else can do at his position. Kind of like Julio is a complete WR and just a physical anomaly at the position, so is Kittle.
Kittle in the Chiefs offense would perform just as well as Kelce
but would Kelce perform just as good in the 49ers offense
My argument isn't even against Kittle. It's that his production and what he does isn't top 10 in the entire sport
Spots 1-4 already tell us this list is invalid so I’m not even worried about it.
I agree you with you in a sense but at the same time he's had almost 2500 yards receiving the past 2 years with Jimmy G and the year before with QBs like Nick Mullens. It's pretty impressive
It is, but that doesn't mean he's a top 10 player in the game...Julio Jones, for example, is far more valuable to any team in the NFL than Kittle is, regardless of how good Kittle is at what he does.
That's all I'm saying. I am biased and think Kelce is the top TE in the game, but I completely acknowledge I'm probably in minority on that and that's fine. But that also doesn't mean I'm way off in thinking Kittle isn't a top 10 player in the NFL
Guys, Todd Gurley ranked 51 after averaging 3.8 ypc. That's more offensive than a really good player perhaps being a few spots too high based on position value.
I also think Shanahan being the best chess player in the NFL has something to do with it
Players look really good in his offense. It would be stupid to knock them for that, but its a fact.
Ill be interested to see how much they pay him when hes up for a new contract. if dude resets the market by 2x or something, I guess they do see him as foundation of the offense
Ummm he IS the foundation to that offense as an great pass catcher with the blocking ability of an elite OL
It has nothing to do with Shanahan but Shanahan realizes he has this massive chess piece in his arsenal and uses it to his advantage
Dump ’s enthusiasm for being wrong but refusing to admit it is going to take the kid to such great heights
no WR is really that valuable because their skill is solely dependent on who the QB is and they provide nothing else of value to the offense without that
Tell this to Larry Fitz and Calvin Johnson
Were you happy when the Cardinals traded for Hopkins
tell that to their team’s winning percentages
was more happy we got rid of DJ’s contract and got another weapon for Kyler
not specifically because it was Nuk
Probably would have been smarter to trade for a WR on a smaller contract. That would have left more salary cap space for valuable positions.
Specifically on defense
sure you could say that
Exact opposite way around, Kelce gets single coverage because every play Hill is on the field he gets safety help and it opens the underneath for Kelce
or vice versa
safeties play a little bit too close and focus on the middle of the field for Kelce and Hill gets open on the deep post route
I think this Rivers experiment is going to disastrous.
Not if you’re a fan of 30 yard sidearm throws that get picked off 75% of the time
should be one of those memes like “Instagram pictures vs. Reality”
that sidearm release looks like Shawn Marion’s or my jumpers
But when accurate, it's deadly.
With him and Hightower, I think the evidence is conclusive. Bama LBs are fucking pussies.
I think they're trying to identify who the best players are not the most valuable
I think he's going to have a fairly good year.
He looked old and bad last year, but the Chargers OL was a hot mess. He's gotta hope that all the Colts receivers aren't on IR or covid.
Urshela just took of for second with the Sox pitcher set on the rubber and somehow made it. I'm not sure I've ever seen that happen.
