*I AM NOT A CONSTITUTIONAL LAW LAWYER OR ELECTION LAW LAWYER. I AM JUST A LAWYER* PA is absolutely a Trump lock. Now that I appreciate the issue between the law concerning ballot counting deadlines versus the State Supreme Court extending that deadline and date-stamping envelopes, the United States Supreme Court will undoubtedly invalidate this practice. It will issue an order establishing that any ballot counted after the deadline set by the legislature is null and void. I do not agree with this but I believe that result is almost a certainty at this point. Kavanaugh especially is biting at the bit to establish the Supreme Court as the arbiter of ballot counting, as suggested originally in Bush v. Gore. It's incredibly interesting at a constitutional law level to see how a conservative court will create the most extensive level of federal oversight over elections that our country has ever seen. That paradigm shift is fundamentally and completely different than the state sovereignty ideals conservative justices used to adhere to. In prior generations, a conservative court wouldn't even accept cert on this let alone hear arguments and render a decision. Bush v. Gore was an aberration; an anomaly. Chief Justice Roberts quietly regretted ever authoring that opinion and the Court has tried to distance itself from it. Now, it will serve as the foundation for a new era of federal-level policing over state courts and legislatures. What's most sad about this is Pennsylvania knew MONTHS ahead about this issue and they couldn't get their shit together to fix it at the legislature level. Hundreds of thousands of peoples' vote will not count in Pennsylvania. Mark my words, quote me, etc. Arizona and Nevada or Georgia are absolute must-wins for Biden.
