The Marshall of the Supreme Court has taken Biden into custody for conspiracy to commit election fraud.
If the GSA certified the election he is entitled to a minimum of $5 million in govt. funds to help him hire people, get office space, etc.
PA is the same situation as MI right? Effectively, MI being certified should ensure PA is certified, at which point we can all go home.
Yes. PA and MI both certify on Monday. Those two states plus GA give Biden more than 270. PA is the same situation as MI. The GOP state legislature has no say in selecting electors, and has also gone on record saying they will not intervene. (Actually I think they have said they would decline an invitation from the White house). Arizona certifies on the 30th, and Wisconsin and Nevada on the 1st.
Everything depends on a collection of republicans all doing the right thing over the coming weeks. Count me skeptical.
it kiiiinda sounds like the Michigan pubs tried to blackmail the president into receiving more COVID aid in exchange for them throwing the vote and it didn’t work out
It’s actually not a bad move, because he will get confirmed once by them and if a vacancy on the court comes up it would be harder to deny him, although I would imagine if we don’t hold the senate it will be four years without judges. Mitch is literally allowing all this to happen so he can just say the election was illegitimate so he doesn’t need to confirm anyone or pass any legislation. Not that he needs an excuse, but he has to say something.
why the fuck would Joe want to put 68 year old Merrick Garland on the court it was never a question of his (impeccable) qualifications
maybe garland has a grandson who’s qualified who will be on the bench more than 10 years before he dies
