I think this was the case 10 years ago RE: House members as only pro life above all and stupid.

Now, I'm fairly confident the current House members are the people smart and cynical enough to take advantage of it. They saw the writing on the wall for 2 or 3 of the past elections and realize that getting more extreme works. I do believe at least most of them certainly don't believe their own bullshit, but it gets them elected by the rubes so it's a race to the bottom.

Pro life is a convenient belief to get them into the Catholic churches but most of them dont give a fuck about abortion.

Now I will admit, most are probably stupid as fuck. But at least smart enough to take advantage of the even more stupid that live in shit hole states like mine.
