My source, codename BlackBirdNativeAmerican, has informed me that these fees reported are in Pounds. That’s not another name for the Euro and is in fact a completely different currency altogether
seems like that statement was issued so he could say he was being forced to stay but he doesnt want to take barca to court and will just leave next year seems like a dumb decision from him to stay and waste a year of his prime due to some stockholm syndrome allegiance or something and an even dumber decision by barca to not get money and players to restart the rebuild dumb all around
barto didnt even have to resign. got bullied into folding on a full house just proves ronaldo is the goat
this boards idea of a rebuild would be to pay the full release clause for lautaro martinez, so no regrets missing out on that
Why the fuck wouldn’t they give the $500M worth of players they’re paying on a chance? Maybe let Griezmann & Coutinho play in their actual positions? That midfield needs a complete overhaul though
What does that have to do with him no longer being in his prime? Not everything that isn’t unbridled praise is criticism. You could say the same thing about Ronaldo but time catches everybody and it isn’t 2013. Seems salient when considering committing north of half a billion dollars on someone
Anyone hitting 20 goals/20 assists in a season in a top 5 league is still in their prime. It’s like saying Jordan wasn’t in his prime when the Bulls threepeated the second time just because he was over 30.
You’re right I’m just being mean. He’s going to live forever. FYI that was his lowest scoring total since 2008.
he won this power struggle. messi came back and barto didnt even have to leave to do it i know there is the concern about him leaving next year but i'll believe it when it happens
While I’m not an expert in Spanish labor law I did spend the better part of 10 days traveling around the country drinking local wines so that, coupled with the embarrassing backdown, leads me to believe that perhaps his legal claims weren’t quite as strong as some might have thought.
Madrid for a few days, south to Toledo, Seville/Cadiz, east to Malaga and then up the coast to Valencia & Barcelona before back to Madrid. Only place I wanted to go that I didn't get to was Pamplona & San Sebastian. Was planning on making a joint Euro/San Fermin visit this summer but obviously that didn't work out.
I have some military family probably moving to Rota in about a year so I may hit you and others up for advice and recommendations
Really enjoyed the old world & historic feeling in both Toldeo & Seville. Completely different from vibe from the rest of the country (or at least the few parts I saw)
He’s a fantastic CB. His play did slip a bit last season and some felt it was the heavy workload over the summer. He didn’t regain his form but did improve to close the season.
Maguire (plus Wan Bissake) improved Man U’s defense a ton and he played every minute. They got top four. Better money than Hazard or Joelinton types.
