The only thing we’ve done this window is loan out players. Things would get ugly selling our best player regardless of the amount. They can’t risk alienating the fanbase considering how much is being invested in the new stadium. Our Premier League status would be in jeopardy if we sold Richie.
Manchester City have beaten Barcelona to the signing of Brazilian teenager Yan Couto from Coritiba for €15 million, according to ESPN Brasil sources.
Word is Emre Can to Dortmund on Loan with an obligation to buy
The former “next Schweinsteiger”
Good signing for Sheffield. Those Norwegians are so hot right now.
Speaking of Norwegians, Paco Alcacer saw the writing on the wall and got a transfer to Villareal.
Poor Paco, they took er job.
Finally some drama
Give him 18 months at Leipzig and he’ll be worth 50m
Apparently Newcastle won't go above 20 lol
maybe wrong thread for this but with all the recent PL to Serie A moves, I’m curious how everyone views Serie A vs PL
Uh why is Barca being allowed to sign a player weeks after the window closed?
Because they’re so poorly run and the league feels uncomfortably embarrassed by the mismanagement.
Dembele injury......which is lol
Release clause can get triggered whenever. I don’t think the player transfers until the window opens back up
I believe the transfer is happening now because of a loophole in La Liga's bylaws or somesuch.
They’re allowed to register him immediately because of Dembele’s long term injury. Only stipulation was that it had to be a player already playing in Liga.
Probably could have happened during the window had the board not been busy spending club funds on marketing & PR to improve the image of their clownshoes president
La liga granted an emergency exemption due to the dembele injury.
They were likely going down anyway but allowing their top goal scorer to leave outside of a transfer window probably all but guarantees relegation for Leganes as well.
Pretty shitty rule for La Liga imo.
from what I read, they had zero choice in the matter. pretty fucked up stuff.
He can’t play in Europe, not that that makes it any more tolerable. Idiotic rule from La Liga that’ll hopefully be annulled soon.
And they can’t turn around and sign someone to replace him because they’re outside the window and the injury exception Barca used obviously doesn’t apply to them.
Also, football contracts in Spain are required by law to have a release clause, in case anyone was thinking that Leganés could have avoided this outcome by drafting better contracts.
However, I don’t believe Braithwaite is eligible for the CL this year.
Must be nice
La liga allowing this is absolutely crazy but it’s absolute bullshit that it can be done using a release clause so the selling club has no choice and then the selling club can’t sign a replacement. So leganes could sign someone if brathwaite got hurt but they can’t sign someone if he gets stolen from them outside the transfer window. So incredibly unfair in a league that’s already set up to gives real and Barcelona every possible advantage.
Leganes have had their request to sign a new player denied by La Liga
Called a joker transfer. Also used in Ligue 1. Barca are just a shittily team at the moment. And this is from a team with no forwards in the first team
Looks like my fifa clubs player trying to do tricks and flicks
since we don't have a 2024 transfer thread yet
I bid €1,000,000,000
